Today I am reviewing Ayush Anti Dandruff Neem Conditioner. This conditioner I bought along with the shampoo from the Neem range of Ayush. My hair is wavy curly and super frizzy if the curls are not defined properly. I have to rely on heavy conditioners to tame my unruly hair otherwise hair breakage becomes a nightmare at the time of detangling. Naturally, a good conditioner for my hair has to fulfill tons of criteria. Let’s check if this condition could fulfill them or not!
Price- Rs.90 for 80ml
My Experience with Ayush Anti Dandruff Neem Conditioner
Packaging-
This conditioner comes in a green-yellow tube with flip-top cap. This kind of tube packaging is not very usual with conditioners from the affordable range. However, this packaging is very hygienic, convenient and user-friendly. The packaging mentions ingredient list but there is no way to identify if it contains any harmful ingredients. They have only mentioned ‘Conditioner Base’; no details have been given on it. Other than that I have no regrets, in fact, I really like the packaging.
Colour & Texture-
The product inside the tube is an off-white cream with medium consistency. The texture is very ‘spreadable’ and is lightweight. Thickness is lesser than Dove conditioners.
Fragrance-
It smells ayurvedic to me with a hint of mineral clay and camphor. The shampoo from this range also has similar fragrance but this one’s smell is a bit toned down. The fragrance is light enough so it doesn’t give a headache to me. On the contrary, I really enjoy the smell!
Experience-
Frankly speaking, I cannot understand the concept of an ‘anti-dandruff conditioner’. Conditioners are to be applied only on the ends of hair strands whereas dandruff is a scalp issue. However, I wanted to try the whole Neem hair care range by Ayush so I bought the conditioner along with the shampoo. The formula of this conditioner is lighter than my usual Dove or Sunsilk conditioners but it still does its job successfully. I keep it 3-4 minutes in my hair and it tames my wild frizzes for 2 days. My hair becomes easy to comb and surely less hair breakage to be seen. It is not a volumizing conditioner but it does not make my hair limp as well. I did not notice any extra shine but the hair looks healthy.
Pros-
- Conditions dry hair well
- Does not weigh down the hair
- Makes hair easy to comb
- Affordable
- User-friendly tube packaging
Cons-
- Claims to make the hair dandruff-free
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
In plain and simple words, Ayush Anti Dandruff Neem Conditioner is a good quality affordable and nourishing conditioner for normal or dry hair. It does not control dandruff or promote hair growth. I might buy it again. If you are someone who wants a budget conditioner or love ayurvedic fragrances, you will like it.
Rating-4/5 (-1 for bizarre claims and missing ingredient!!)

Well written. I don’t understand how conditioners help reduce dandruff. Because it is not applied on the scalp.
I have the same thought at times :confused :bye:
it says that apply it on the ends of your wet hair, then how is it going to reduce dandruff on the scalp? :confused
Weird. Isn’t it
Exactly conditioner for dandruff :no
