cetaphilCetaphil Ultra Hydrating Lotion: Since the beginning of winter, I have been searching for a good and affordable facial moisturizer for my acne prone combination skin. In winter, my skin behaves like dry skin but the pimple issue remains same. It becomes nearly impossible to use the cold cream as they often cause extreme acne breakouts. I have previously tried Lakme’s new Peach Milk Creme and a few other popular winter creams but all of them broke me out. My favorite moisturizer is Neutrogena’s Oil-free Moisturizer for Combination skin but it is not enough to cater extremities of winter. So, this time I am trying another ‘non-comedogenic’ moisturizer, Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion. Read on to know if it worked for my skin or not.

My Experience with Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion
Packaging- The lotion comes in an off-white plastic tube with blue screw cap. The tube is packed in a white cardboard outer box. The packaging is very simple yet useful. Every detail regarding the product is mentioned in the tube as well as the outer box. It is a travel-friendly packaging and I really like such a no-fuss tube!
Colour & Texture- The moisturizer has been named as ‘lotion’ but it is actually a cream. Its color is white and its texture is medium to thick. Just a little bit of product is enough to cover my face and neck. It gives a very comfortable finish to my combination skin in this winter weather. Although it’s a creamy product, it gets absorbed into the skin and does give non-sticky finish as promised.
Fragrance- It is a fragrance-free cream. There is a slight medicinal smell in it which goes off within seconds.
Experience- This cream is made for dry to the extra dry skin. Still, it is working really well for my combination skin. It is actually helping me to combat winter dryness. This is, in fact, the only nonpore-clogging cream in my skin care collection currently that has a heavy moisturizing formula. So, I have been using this a lot. It provides me with healthy looking moisturized skin without acne breakouts. It took 2-3 days to heal the dry patches of my skin. It will certainly help those who have severely dry skin. But, it is not something that I can use in every season. It will certainly feel heavy in summer. My search for a perfect winter facial moisturizer has come to an end as I have found this Cetaphil moisturizer. This one supplies up the skin so it is a great product to use under makeup as well.
Pros-
- Provides heavy moisturization
- Does not clogs pores
- Does not aggravate existing pimples or cause new ones
- Heals dry patches of the skin
- Works well for combination, dry or sensitive skin with acne issues in winter
- Can be used under makeup to ensure better blending
Cons-
No cons for me!
