Today I am reviewing the first-ever skin care product of my life; Johnson’s Baby Oil. I have been using this oil since the age of just a few days! I have seen a lot of packaging and formula changes of Johnson’s products but this one has remained as it is over the years. Skin-friendly oils find various uses in the sector of makeup and beauty. I have also found a number of ways to use this oil other than as body oil. Though there have been lots of controversies regarding Johnson’s Baby products in recent years, the popularity of this Johnson Baby Oil has not decreased even a bit. Read on to know why I like this baby oil so much.

My Experience with Johnson Baby Oil
Packaging- This oil comes in a clear plastic bottle with a baby pink flip-top cap. The cap also has a screw open system at its base so when the oil gets over I can easily store my DIYs in it. I have been using this oil since infancy and there is no change in its packaging. It is very simple but sturdy and ergonomic packaging. The oil does not spill off from the bottle causing havoc in my travel bag.
Colour & Texture- The oil is a colorless liquid. It is of thin consistency; the density will be slightly thicker than water. The main ingredient or base of this oil is mineral oil. Mineral oil is a non-reacting substance. It just sits there on top of the skin without causing any allergic reaction hence this oil is suitable for babies. The oil spreads easily on my skin and does not give the annoying sticky feel.
Fragrance- This baby oil has a very mild floral fragrance. The smell is very light and it’s staying power is very less. The oil becomes non-fragrant after a few minutes of application. Those of you who like mildly fragrant personal care products would find it nice.
Experience- I love to use this mild oil as my after-bath body oil. It locks in moisture and gives lasting softness to the skin in this harsh winter weather. This oil helps to heal hard skin on the heels or elbows. I sometimes use this light oil in my hair strands when I am short of hair serums. This oil can also act as an excellent makeup remover for both water-soluble and water-proof makeup. This removes my eye makeup completely and that too without any irritations. Mineral oil is not a pore-clogging substance so this oil will not cause acne. I mix drops of this oil to my everyday body lotion to increase its moisturizing power. I have never faced any adverse reaction to this oil. I have been using it for 20 years! Currently, I do not use any body oil in summer but a few years ago I used to use this oil in the summertime as well. It is light enough to cause a ‘chip-chip’ feel.

i tried this for dandruff, but didn’t help. now i use it as an eye make up remover. awesome review and beautiful clicks Sreeparna,,,
Thank you Smriti..
This oil’s composition does not have anything to cater dandruff. Plus, it has mineral oil that creates just a protective shield to lock in moisture.. Its nourishing property might not be enough for scalp..
Nice review. I also use it as after bath oil in summer to lock natural moisture of my skin.
Thanks Chaity :love
It is a cool bath oil option. It helps to retain moisture to the skin and makes my skin softer..
I’ve always been a big fan of this Johnson baby oil. And Istill use this as a body oil well after crossing the stage of being a baby! :haanji
