My Experience with Lotus Herbals Kera Veda Soyashine Soya Protein & Brahmi Shampoo
Packaging
This shampoo comes in a yellow flat bottle with deep green flip-top cap. The packaging is good in terms of sturdiness.
Colour & Texture
The shampoo has off-white color and pearly shine. It is a medium dense hair wash. Though it’s not a purifying shampoo, it cleanses the hair and scalp well. It creates the satisfying amount of lather as it contains a milder compound of sulfate.
Fragrance
This shampoo has a unique herbal fragrance to it. The fragrance stays in the hair for the day in its faint form. Since many Lotus Herbals hair products come with the same smell I am assuming it is due to added fragrance.
Experience
I have oily scalp and dry hair. I like Head & Shoulders shampoo as it keeps dandruff at bay. Sometimes my hair becomes extra dry and frizzy or I decide to avoid heavy oiling due to pimple outbreaks. This moisturizing shampoo comes at a rescue in such situations. It is mild enough but cleanses the scalp and hair well. Hair becomes softer and more manageable after each use. These days I am skipping conditioner for a deep conditioning oil-in-cream. The days I am using this shampoo I need the comparatively lesser amount of oil-in-cream.
What do I like about this shampoo?
- Mild shampoo for dry and damaged hair
- Herbal actives present in the composition
- Does not make the hair extremely dry like other herbal shampoos
- Thoroughly cleanses scalp and hair
- Does not weigh down my hair
- Does not cause excess frizziness than normal
- Makes hair look naturally healthy and bouncy
- Easily available and pocket-friendly
What I dislike about this shampoo?
- Herbal shampoo but still has a milder compound of sulfate
- Contains parabens as a preservative
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
I have been using this shampoo for years on and off. It does suit my hair and does not cause excess hair fall so I will definitely repurchase this. I would recommend it to those who have dry hair. It would have been best if the shampoo was free from parabens.

Parabens and sulphur are big no ??? I have used this and it has made my hair look very rough
Nice review and images sreeparna ❤️
Seems like this shampoo did not suit your hair.. Thankfully it works for me..
Parabens and sulphates are really a bad side of any products.. I don’t understand why a ‘herbal’ shampoo needs sulphates as cleansing agents..
Definitely a nay from my side.
