What is it and who is it for?Maybelline BB Cushion Foundation is a cushion foundation. The cushion foundation culture started some years ago in South Korea. It is slowly catching up in the western countries too. Indian market, however, doesn’t have many options like these. The only two known to me are by Innisfree and Lancôme. Maybelline BB Cushion Foundation is a liquid, light weight, and a moisturizing formula. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. It gives a radiant, healthy and soft looking finish that makes the skin look hydrated and fresh all the time. There are only 2 shades available under this category, Fair and Natural. I have a medium skin tone, which is why I opted for 03 Natural. It’s light to medium coverage and is pretty wearable. The shade looks very natural on the skin and doesn’t look cakey at all giving it a luminous look. This foundation is specifically suited for people who have normal or dry skin.
Price:
I bought this product online from Nykaa and it costs Rs. 1020.
How to Use:
The product has got a typical cushion foundation packaging from the outside. It has got a mirror inside on the top and the applicator is housed is a dish. And once its lid is opened the cushion is found resting inside which is soaked in the foundation. It is extremely easy to apply this foundation. All you need to do is tap the applicator to the cushion gently and it will ooze out the foundation. It can be directly tapped on to the skin. It blends in very easily; you don’t have to work much of it getting blended into your skin.
My Experience with Maybelline BB Cushion Foundation 03 Natural
I tapped the applicator gently onto the cushion and let it ooze out the foundation on it and then dabbed evenly on my face. The foundation was lighter than my skin tone. For the first time of application, the product didn’t work well as it wasn’t able to cover under eyes spots, blemishes and spots. It somehow covered them during the second time. The applicator also didn’t go a good job when it came to dabbing it on my face. My suggestion would be to use a puffing brush to spread the formula on the face. The applicator is good for touch up but if you want to apply it in the beginning then a puffing brush would do a great job. Initially, the foundation did look lighter on my skin, but when I had almost completed my makeup, it blended quite well with it. This product works well, but, only for normal and dry skin but of its moisturizing nature. Towards the end of my makeup, the foundation made a good base on my face and it looked natural, moist, bright and light and stayed on for 7-8 hours. This product is a big NO-NO for people with oily skin. Considering the product, its price is too high for this kind of a product. Maybelline is known for its affordable products where Rs. 1020 is way too expensive. The shade is available in only 2 shades FAIR and NATURAL, which makes it impossible to suit the dusky skin tone which most Indians have.
