My Experience with Sugar Mauve Marvel Contour De Force Blush

Packaging

This blush comes in a square cardboard pack with the magnetic closing mechanism. The cardboard pack has a black slider outer cover. The packaging is very colorful and elegant looking. It is a travel-friendly packaging but keeps it in the spacious area of your makeup pouch.

Shade

As the name suggests, it is a mauve blush. It is actually a dusty pink shade without shimmers. The shade is very beautiful and complements warm Indian complexions.

Texture & Pigmentation

It is a finely milled powder. It blends without much effort and gives the desired finish. It is a pigmented blush so it would show up on deeper skin tones with exact shade. My skin tone is on the lighter side so I need just a tiny bit of product for a subtle everyday look. For intense blush looks, I apply a little more product.

Fragrance

The blush is fragrance-free.

Experience

I have warm-neutral undertone so most peach, dusty rose, and coral blushes look peach-toned on my skin. But, this mauve blush is currently the only one blush in my collection that gives a healthy pink flesh tone on my skin. It gives a very high color pay-off so I need to be careful about the amount I am taking. Otherwise, the tint would be very deep for my liking. Still, I really love using this blush. It gives a lively pink natural finish to my everyday light makeup look.

What do I like about this blush?

1. Warm mauve toned blush without shimmer
2. Suits Indian skin tones really well
3. Pigmentation is good (shows up on a variety of Indian complexions)
4. Staying power is good (4+ hours for subtle application)
5. Did not cause pimples
6. Gives naturally flushed cheek look
7. Blends easily
8. Fades evenly

What I dislike about this blush?

This is not exactly a con but a tip to the beginners. The blush is quite pigmented so if you are an absolute beginner you need to practice a bit beforehand to master the amount control.

Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

This is an extremely pigmented blush so it would take longer to finish this pan! But, if I can’t find anything better than this I would definitely go for this blush. I would recommend it to all.
