Shahi Paneer Recipe: Hello Friends!! I really hope you all are doing great! Today I am sharing a recipe with you at this time so that you can quickly go through it, cook and enjoy it for dinner today 😉 I love to eat, and I love to cook. Here is what I have realized. The simpler the flavors, the more delicious the dish 🙂
Check out the recipe down below 😉
Ingredients:
Cottage Cheese 200 gm
4-5 Large Tomatoes, chopped
2-3 Green Chillies Cut through vertically
1 Large Capsicum cut into big strips
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to Taste
[No cream, butter etc needed…consider it a shahi paneer where all the royal feel comes from the flavor ]
Method:
Puree the tomatoes in a blender. In a heavy-bottomed skillet add oil and allow it to heat up. Add the chilies and the tomato puree to hot oil. Keep the flame on high. At this point add the sugar. It kind of helps to tone down the tartness of the tomatoes and helps them caramelize better.
Allow the gravy to cook on medium flame for 2 minutes. Then proceed to add all the spices. Again mix well and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
As you can see the gravy has now begun to thicken a bit. This is the perfect time to add the cottage cheese. I am not recommending you to add the capsicum at this point, because capsicum has this tendency of going limp and bitter when overcooked. Once you feel the gravy is almost 90% cooked, then you add the capsicum. Cook on medium-low flame for 2-3 minutes and turn the burner off.
That is it! Your shahi paneer is done:) Serve with steamed rice and dal, or piping hot rotis and cool buttermilk! Either way, it is going to feel like a royal treat! <3
Please let me know how your dish turned out 🙂
