My Experience with Wet n Wild Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner Electric Purple
The packaging is quite average and the bottle is completely made out of flimsy plastic and is purple in color. The wand is thin and long and has a tapering and pointed tip to give a nice thin application on the eyes. The wand is of appropriate length for you to hold it comfortably during application. The shade name is given on the bottom of the bottle.
Even though the color’s name is ‘Electric Purple’, it is not at all striking purple, on the application it gives a really light shade of purple on your eyelids. The color is slightly pigmented. I would have preferred a nice bright purple shade which was the only reason for buying this product.
The consistency of this eye liner is quite runny. It doesn’t have a thick consistency which I personally prefer. It also applies very streakily. You have to go over it again and again to get a perfect dark shade of purple.
It has a decent staying power, it doesn’t move otherwise until and unless you rub your eyes. It appears very light on the eyes; therefore you can’t judge its staying power as it always looks light and worn off.
It doesn’t cause any allergy or itchiness or irritation in your eyes, perfectly safe to be used by everyone. The brand is cruelty-free and PETA certified.
I do not enjoy using this eyeliner much, because when I bought it, I was expecting it to be nice, dark and highly pigmented purple eyeliner that would look strikingly visible. But to my dismay, it turned out to be a light shade of purple which is hardly visible on the eyes, if you look from a distance. The color pay off is low and therefore you have to go over it, again and again, to build up the shade. The application is streaky and it takes some time to dry off. The eyeliner is nice and affordable, but on any given day I would prefer buying the black variant of the same eye liner. The ‘Electric Purple’ variant doesn’t smudge a lot, thus not giving you panda eyes, as the black variant does. The removal part is super easy, one swipe with cotton dipped in Rose Water and the eye liner is gone.
What did I like about the product?
- Can be removed easily, without any hassles
- Doesn’t smudge that easily
- The applicator is long and tapering which ensures precise application
What didn’t I like about the product?
- Not easily available in India
- Not at all pigmented
- Applies streaky on the eyelids
- The consistency is quite runny
Would I recommend or repurchase the product?
I wouldn’t recommend or repurchase this product again. There are many eyeliners available in the Indian market in the form of pencils and retractable eyeliners that have quirky, pigmented colors. They are affordable and last long. One doesn’t need to buy liquid eyeliner which isn’t even a bright shade and is not available in India. Skip this particular shade of Wet n Wild Megaliner. Not worth a buy!
