St Ives Exfoliating Body Wash Smoothing Apricot Review

St Ives is a well-acclaimed brand of the west and currently, it is readily available in the Indian markets as well. They’re known for creating some really awesome smelling skincare products at a super affordable price. I’ve been using their scrubs for quite some time and was quite satisfied with the results. A few days back I accidentally bumped into this cute and big body wash bottle at a supermarket and that’s when I decided to give this St Ives Exfoliating Body Wash Smoothing Apricot a try. Read on to know more about this.

Quantity: 400 ml

Price: INR 350/- (online and offline-in store price may slightly differ)
Directions:

-Pour onto moistened pouf, sponge, washcloth or hands.

-work into a rich creamy lather and rinse.

Overview:

The product comes in a tall, sturdy semi-translucent off-white bottle with a tight white flip cap.

The Body wash is of camel-brown color with the consistency slightly thinner than honey (neither runny nor gooey), making it easy to dispense. It is infused with tiny micro exfoliant particles. The product spreads well, lathers really well and rinses off without much effort. The slightest quantity goes a long way and so an entire 350 ml of the bottle can last you for really long.It smells really nice and has got that apricot-ish zest which might remind you of St. Ives apricot scrub as well.

My experience with St Ives Exfoliating Body Wash Smoothing Apricot

St. Ives smoothing apricot is a perfect no claim, no hype body wash because it doesn’t make false promises and lives up to the expectations. It just does what a good body wash is supposed to do.

It does the dual work pretty well; its foam lifts all the dirt from the skin and the micro-exfoliants scours your skin, removes the dead cell layer and gives you a fresh, radiant and a squeaky clean skin.

The only glitch is that it could be really drying especially for dry skinned or sensitive skinned beauties making it mandatory to use a heavy moisturizer. And it’s better not used in winters else your skin might go all dry and stretchy. For best results use it daily with a loofah or a sponge.

Pros:
  1. Makes the skin soft and feels fresh
  2. Exfoliates dead skin layer leaving your skin radiant and supple
  3. Sturdy bottle, leak/spill proof packaging
  4. Awesome fragrance-stays for long
  5. Small amount of body goes a long way
  6. Paraben-free
  7. Lathers well
  8. Affordable
Cons:
  1. Could Be Over-Drying
Will I repurchase it?

I have oily skin and this body wash did live up to my expectations, overall it gave me good results. I would definitely repurchase it only for summers, for rest of the year I would rather prefer a hydrating or a moisturizing body wash.

Ratings: 4/5
