Khadi Activated Bamboo Charcoal Mask: I came across this product at a general store, just sitting there on the counter taunting me to pick it up. I had heard a lot about charcoal masks and read a lot about the benefits of activated charcoal so I decided to give this Khadi Activated Bamboo Charcoal Mask a try, and man wasn’t that a good move!
Now this product has become a regular part of my weekly self-care routine, and here I am to share the good word with you, the citizens of the world.

My experience with Khadi Activated Bamboo Charcoal Mask
As it happens I was looking for a natural face mask when I stumbled upon this product, and it did not disappoint me on that count. The product delivers what it states on the label, i.e. “it exfoliates away dull skin cells for softness and clarity”, and I saw the results of the face pack after the first use itself. The skin felt softer, firmer, and overall there was a brightness, which just got better after I moisturized it.
My experience with the product was overall pleasant, except for when I used it for the first time, I experienced a slight burning sensation, though it had no physical evidence once I took off the face pack, and afterward it was just smooth sailing.
Packaging- The package is a generally circular container, with a bronze lid and an added off-white colored lid inside it, to prevent spillage. I would have liked it better had they provided an applicator along with it since the packaging is a container and not a tube. That would have been more convenient.
Texture and color- The face pack is a very light creamy texture, making it a smooth application even if one is just using their finger to do so. The color is grey, almost like the color of the sky before a heavy rain, it lightens up on the skin after it dries. It dries very firmly on the skin, and a rule of thumb, please do not alter your facial expressions as it would line the pack (because it’s not elastic at all once it dries) and you might enhance a fine line or two.
Odour- I personally like the smell of the face pack, which is almost like the smell of mud before the rain (again with the storm reference!) just a processed version of it, though I would understand if some people may not like it as much.
Overall it is not irritating to the skin, nose or the eyes!!
Application- The package instruction advice you to wash your face and cleanse it. Once that is done you wet your face and neck, and then apply a thin coating of the pack, avoiding the eyes and lips. You let it dry for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse it off with warm water.
My personal routine differs a little. It includes washing my face with warm water to open my pores, then I scrub out the dead skin and dirt, after which I steam my face, pop out the whiteheads, wipe it off and then apply the mask. I wash it off with normal tap water and ice my skin to close my pores, after which I moisturize my skin with coconut or almond oil. I do this all before going to bed so that I can wake up with supple happy skin. I do this once a week.
