Street Wear Riveting Rouge Lipstick: Hey, Girls! I am back again with yet another lipstick review. This time I am reviewing the Street Wear Color Rich Ultra Moist Lipstick in the shade the shade Riveting Rouge. It is from the affordable bracket of cosmetics. For me, the USP is the amazing texture of these lipsticks as they are very soft on the lips. They are available in 25 gorgeous shades. This is my favorite of all the shades.

It is priced at 199 INR for 4.2g of the product. It is currently on sale at 169 INR on Nykaa.

My experience with Street Wear Riveting Rouge Lipstick

Packaging:

The packaging is very cute. It comes in a black bullet with a transparent cap with a pretty cartoon of a girl on it. If not anything, this lipstick is worth buying just for the cartoon <3 It makes you drool 😉 The shade name is written at the bottom of the lipstick.

Directions to use:

Start by prepping your lips using a moisturizer. This is optional and necessary only if you have heavily chapped lips. This lipstick in itself does moisturize your lips. Then start applying the lipstick from the middle of the lips and move towards the end. You can also apply it using a lip brush. Since this is a fairly creamy lipstick, a lip balm is not compulsory except for heavily chapped lips.

Shade and Texture:

The texture is quite creamy and does not dry the lips. These lipsticks are quite pigmented and are quite comfortable on the lips. They glide smoothly while applying. This shade is a blue tone red and has amazing pigmentation. It would suit the warm-toned beauties as well as the cool-toned beauties perfectly. This is a must-have for every red lip lover. Using a rosy pink lip liner or cherry pink lip liner will make the color look fabulous. This is the only lipstick which has been constant in my daily makeup pouch. There was a time when I used to put on this beauty on my lips every single day.

My love for this lipstick is so much so that on my engagement I used this same lipstick. It was a very intimate ceremony at home with only the groom’s family and our family. I paired it up with simple eyeliner on my upper lash line so as to make my lips do all the talking and pop out. It was a subtle yet classy festive look. I must say I was pretty amazed by the staying power as well as the pigmentation. I received loads of compliments for this look and most importantly I loved wearing this lippy 🙂

Overall Performance of Street Wear Riveting Rouge Lipstick

This lipstick range is a creamy but pigmented range with amazing color pay off. You don’t really need a lip balm with this as it moisturizes your lips as well. This lipstick is quite pretty by itself and does not need any loud dramatic makeup like smokey eyes to go with it and complete the look I would suggest a simple black eyeliner on the upper lash line and rich black kohl on the lower lash line would make the cut. Oh Ya! Not to forget loads of mascara to flutter those lovely lashes! If you want to add more drama, flick your upper lash line’s eyeliner to form a wing using a black fine tip pen eyeliner. If you do not want to do this classic wing, you can also flick your lower lash line’s Kohl to form a wing instead of the upper lash line. This will work best for that anniversary date night to make him bowled over by your charm. However, if you are in a mood for matte lips, after applying this lipstick, blot it with a tissue and you are done!

Staying Power:

The staying power is moderately good for this lipstick. It lasts for almost 4 hours without smudging unless rubbed intentionally. If you eat or drink something heavy, it will transfer. However, it leaves a beautiful stain on the lips. Using a lip balm after the lipstick leaves a stain makes it very elegant and helps keep the lips still colorful. However, it is important to use the lip liner not only to line your lips but also to fill it in to give the perfect base for the perfect pout and also make it last longer.

Would I recommend it?

Oh Ya! I will surely recommend these lipsticks for their creamy finish and beautiful color pays off and most definitely their packaging and price.As it is said that girls cannot stop with one lipstick, go ahead and try the Berry Dreamy, Pink Pirouette and Fire your Ex as well from this range and do comment on this post with your experience.

Hey, Girls! I am back again with another lipstick review. This is one from the affordable bracket of lipsticks. Ever since I started wearing red lipsticks, I have always been on the lookout for affordable red shades. This is the perfect answer to my quest. Reds especially are a common mandatory shade in all ranges by almost all the brands. Today I will review two shades from the Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick range.

Price:

It is priced at 295 INR for 2.5g of the product. It is currently on sale at 221 INR on Nykaa.

My experience with Makeup Revolution Amazing Lipstick Lady and Dare

Packaging:

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a basic black packaging with “Makeup Revolution” written in metallic gold. A color band at the bottom of the lipstick shows the actual color of the lipstick. It is very similar to the NYX Extra Creamy Round lipstick.

Directions to use:

Start by prepping your lips using a moisturizer. Then start applying the lipstick from the middle of the lips and move towards the end. You can also apply it using a lip brush. You can skip the lip balm application as the lipstick is quite creamy and does not dry your lips unless you have very chapped lips.

Shade and Texture:

The shade Lady is a true red with an orange undertone whereas the shade Dare has a slightly blue undertone. The texture is moderately creamy and does not dry the lips. The shade Lady would suit the warm-toned beauties and Dare would suit the cool-toned beauties. The neutral toned beauties are however the luckiest and can carry off both the shades really well. This is a must lipstick for every red lip lover. Using a cherry red lip liner will give best results.

Overall Performance

This would flatter all the skin tones. It instantly brightens up the face. It does not need any extra makeup except mascara and you are good to go. If you want to be a bit dressy, a neutral makeup with a slight tinge of natural blush would give that extra chic look. Colored Kajal would not look great with this lipstick as there will be two focal points in the makeup although light gold can be used on the lower lash line.

This lipstick amps up your makeup game with that extra glow and pop of color to give you that striking and bold look. This works best for college girls or for someone on a budget as it is quite affordable and also they can experiment with looks more often compared to working women who would prefer the classic and subtle nude lips for work.

Staying Power:

The staying power is quite good for this lipstick. It lasts for at least 4 hours without smudging. If you eat or drink something heavy, it will transfer. However, it leaves a beautiful stain on the lips. Using a lip balm after the lipstick leaves a stain makes it very elegant and helps keep the lips still colorful.

Would I recommend it?

Oh Ya! I will definitely recommend these lipsticks for their amazing texture and beautiful color pay off and it is totally worth the price.

My experience with Lakme Face Sheer Blush Sunkissed

Packaging:

The packaging is very cute. It comes in an almost round packaging with a lid. The lid is in gold metallic color. There are two main points in the packaging which are very creative as well as usable. The first point is that it has an inbuilt sponge on its mouth, just when the lid is opened. It, therefore, does not need any blush brush. The second point is that it has an inbuilt tiny mirror on the outside of the lid making it easy to look at you while applying with the inbuilt sponge plus container.

Directions to use:

After prepping your skin and putting on a bb cream or foundation and applying compact or loose powder, it is time for the blush. Apply this blush on the cheekbones as a highlighter and to the apples of your cheek as a blush. Smile well while applying this product for a fair and even application. This product is available in two shades – Sunkissed and desert rose.

As the name suggests the product is a sheer blush but also has a pinch of glitter in it and hence can double up as a highlighter. For the simple and elegant look, you can go for the Sunkissed shade which is my personal favorite. For the more dramatic look, you can go for the desert rose which gives a nice pinkish tinge to your cheeks.

Shade and Texture:

The Sunkissed shade is a perfect sheer copper highlighting shade. It would best suit wheatish to dusky skin tones. The texture is not too dry. It applies smoothly even though it is a powder texture. It is fairly well pigmented. I love the product ever since I got my hands on it. I did not find any flaws in this product.

Ideal for:

This would flatter all the skin tones as it is a classic highlighting sheer shade. It instantly brightens up the face. It would amp up any look whether simple or dramatic and with any combination of eye and lip makeup.

A swipe of this product after office for that dinner date with a nice coat of mascara and you are party ready! This works best for college girls or for someone on a budget as it is very affordable for any branded drugstore blush which would also work as a highlighter.

Staying Power:

The staying power is fairly good for this product. It lasts for at least 3 hours without smudging. If rubbed vigorously it would stay for a maximum of 1 to 1.5 hours. It would last your party all night long if not rubbed much though.

Overall Performance

Go for this blush if you want to use one product for both blush and highlighting. Experiment it with different types of eye and lip makeup combinations as this is one shade and type of blush with which you would never go wrong.

Maintain the direction of the strokes consistent while applying to have an even and smooth look.

Would I recommend it?

Oh Ya! I will definitely recommend this blush plus highlighter and it is totally worth the price.

The Colorbar body shimmer also is a bit similar but is slightly pricey than the LAKME face sheer blush.

The packaging is simple yet pretty elegant. It comes in a black packaging along with a black cap. The shade name is written at the bottom of the lipstick. These lipsticks are color coded as Browns, Reds, Oranges, Pinks and Purples at the bottom as well as the middle band. This way it is very easy to recognize the color if you store the lipsticks upside down especially when you own more than one shade from this range.

Directions to use:

Start by prepping your lips using a moisturizer. Then start applying the lipstick from the middle of the lips and move towards the end. You can also apply it using a lip brush. These lipsticks are very creamy and hence do not require lip balm before use for normal lips. Heavily chapped lips need to use a lip balm before using this lipstick.

The shade Crushed Candy is a semi sheer slightly blue toned pink. It is very near to a pinkish nude. The shade Cherry Crush is a pretty semi sheer pink with a red undertone. This is very near to the reddish pink nude. These lipsticks are comfortably creamy but need to be layered to get the actual pigmentation. These lipsticks do not dry the lips. The shade Crushed Candy would suit the cool toned beauties while the shade Cherry Crush suits the warm toned beauties. For the shade Crushed Candy, using a Strawberry Pink lip liner and for the shade Cherry Crush, using a Cherry Red lip liner will give best results making the color of the lipstick show up really well and also by giving the right base for the lipstick given its creamy semi sheer consistency.

Overall Performance

These would flatter all the skin tones. Both these shades give a subtle beauty face. With no extra makeup except a mascara and these lipsticks paired with the right lip liner gives a nice college or work look. If you want to head to a party, pair these lipsticks with the Maybelline Colossal Turquoise Kajal use the trick with a slight tinge of a pink blush and you will have the perfect party look. If you have pigmented lips, you might have to layer it well to make your lips show up the right color along with pairing it with the right lip liner. As it is not a matte lipstick it does not dry your lips. These cuties work best for college girls or for someone on a budget as they are not very costly and also perfect for the working woman for that hassle free classy look for work.

Staying Power:

The staying power is quite good for this lipstick especially for the consistency and price. It lasts for almost 3 to 3.5 hours without smudging. If you eat or drink something, it will transfer. It does not leave a considerable stain and hence needs touch ups. Using a lip liner not only to line your lips but also fill it in and then putting on the lipstick does not only give a better color, but also helps in making it stay longer?

My Experience with Lakme 9 To 5 Creaseless Crème Lipstick Pink Affair

Packaging:

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a copperish metallic packaging with the shade name at the bottom. It is handy enough to sit in your purse to carry around.
This is one of the boldest shades of the Lakme 9 to 5 creaseless crème range.

Shade:

I used to be a bit apprehensive to try out pink shades as usually, they would wash me out. This lipstick has the perfect tinge of red in it making it very wearable and it feels beautiful and smooth as well. This is more of a pinkish red toned lipstick. It comes out to look like a mix of a strawberry and a raspberry shade. It tends to look like a warm toned fuchsia with multiple swipes. It is a fairly bright color, perfect for the spring. Also unlike other creamy lipsticks, it is true to its name and is creaseless. It is very moisturizing on your lips. It makes them supple and looks healthy. Also it has a simple creamy finish and does not show up to be glossy.
It gives a nice smooth and even finish to the lips. The lipstick smells like yummy heavenly cocoa butter 😉 It is tasty like crazy as well.
One swipe gives the perfect color to the lips. Multiple swipes can be opted to have a bold look.

Lakme 9 to 5 Creaseless Crème Lipstick Pink Affair Review

Staying Power:

The staying power is amazing for this lipstick. True to its name it does stay put from 9 to 5. Although it does transfer a little when you eat or drink something, it still leaves a beautiful stain on your lips.

Tips:

Use a lip balm after the lipstick fades out and leaves the stain. It gives a nice finish and completely brings back the color to your lips.

Try using any lip liner in a rose pink shade to complement the lipstick and also make it long lasting.

Overall performance

It’s a great moisturizing lipstick.

Ideal for:

This would flatter all the skin tones and would complement the dusky skin tones really well. It instantly brightens up the face. It would be best to use kohl Kajal along with this lipstick to complete a simple yet beautiful look.
It will suit all occasions perfectly as it is neither too subtle nor too loud. Especially for college going girls and for parties, it would look amazing.
Move over the reds and try this at your next party. You surely will be a head turner!

These are the Elle 18 Color Pop Matte lipsticks. The shades that I am going to review are Rose Day and Deep Pink. These are my most favorite shades of the range. Call me crazy, I have bought four pieces of each of these shades because, well…just in case. Both these lil lippies are a must in my daily makeup bag.

My experience with Elle18 Deep Pink & Rose Day Color Pop Matte Lipstick

Packaging:

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a matte black packaging with a cute animated girl’s cartoon on it. The shade name is written at the bottom of the lipstick. It is not color coded and the shade name is written on a white background. They are slightly different from the Elle 18 Color Pops, Elle18 Color Boost, and Elle 18 Color Burst lippies.

Start by prepping your lips using a moisturizer. Then start applying the lipstick from the middle of the lips and move towards the end. You do not need to apply it using a lip brush. The pointy curve edge of this lipstick can double up as a lip liner. Even though it is a matte lipstick, it does not dry out the lips and also it does not drag on the lips. It gives a smooth and soft application. It does moisturize the lips. It stays put and does not smudge unless rubbed intentionally. It does tend to fade a little when you eat or drink something but it leaves a strong stain on the lips. As this is not a drying lipstick, a lip balm is not compulsory except for heavily chapped lips.

Shade and Texture:

Deep Pink

The texture is quite creamy and does not dry the lips but at the same time looks matte and stays on like a matte lipstick. These lipsticks are highly pigmented and give the right intensity of color in one swipe. The shade Deep Pink is an amazing Pink with a red undertone. This shade would suit the warm-toned beauties as well as the cool-toned beauties perfectly. This is a must have for every lipstick lover. The shade Rose Day is a pretty bright and pigmented Pink. It is true to its name and is a perfect rose color. This shade although is a slightly cool tone shade, it looks good on every skin tone. These are the two lippies that I am completely in love with from this range. They are one of the best matte lipsticks I have ever tried and my most favorite ones too.

Overall Performance

This lipstick range is one of the most affordable but classy and comfortable matte lipsticks. Every lippie lover needs to try this. This range has all sorts of colors from Pinks, Reds, Oranges, Mauves, and Browns and is crazily pigmented. Everyone will definitely find their shade in this range. This range has fun colors for college going girls and also classic subtle colors for the working beauties. The application is creamy making it quite comfortable on the lips. These lipsticks all by themselves give a loud and beautiful look and suit every occasion. They do not need any extra makeup other than a nice coat of mascara. If you want to add more drama, line your upper lash line subtly and lower lash line half way through from the outer corner to the inner corner with jet black Kohl Kajal and apply a tinge of beige or white eyeshadow on the inner corner. To finish this look flick your upper lash line Kajal to form a wing using black fine tip pen eyeliner. I would recommend using a blue eyeliner or eye pencil with the shade Rose Day and a turquoise eyeliner or eye pencil with the shade Deep Pink for a more bright and fun look! These looks will be refreshing for a brunch with your girlfriends.

This would look amazing on cool toned beauties.

This lipstick range is a mix of pinks corals reds and browns. It gives that feminine charm to your face. Both the shades are very good looking on the Indian skin tones. These lippies with a generous coat of mascara and you are good to go. This range gives you a plethora of options to experiment with looks from subtle lips to dark and bold lips. For the Frisky Fuschia lipstick, lining your lower lash line half way through from the outer corner to the inner corner and applying a hint of white or beige eyeshadow in the inner corner will give a pretty and elegant look. This will work best for morning brunches for that fresh morning look. For the Notorious Red lipstick, lining your lower lash line completely with a bold line of black Kajal and similar bold line of Kajal on the upper lash line will give that nice lady like look, perfect for a dinner date with your loved one. I bet he can’t take his eyes off you 😉

My experience with LA Girl Flat Matte Velvet Lipstick Gossip

Packaging:

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a metallic black packaging with an LA Girl Flat Matte Velvet Lipstick written on it in gold. The shade name is written on the body of the lipstick. The bottom of the lipstick is color coded very similar to the makeup revolution amazing lipsticks and the NYX extra creamy round lipsticks.

 Directions to use:

Start by prepping your lips using a moisturizer. This is recommended as the lipstick is a little bit drying at the time of application although it has a velvet matte finish. Then start applying the lipstick from the middle of the lips and move towards the end. You can also apply it using a lip brush.

Shade and Texture:

The texture is a bit drying at first but is velvety upon application and does not dry the lips. During the application, it feels a bit drying and tugging at the lips. These lipsticks are quite pigmented and one swipe gives you an amazing color payoff. This shade is a true neutral tone red and would suit the warm-toned beauties as well as the cool-toned beauties perfectly. This is a must-have for every red lip lover. Using a red or neutral lip liner will give best results making the color of the lipstick show up really well and also securing it from any possible feathering. The edge of the flat lipstick can also double up as a lip liner to be as close as possible to the filling lip color.

Overall Performance of LA Girl Flat Matte Velvet Lipstick Gossip

This lipstick range is a highly pigmented but matte range and gives a velvety texture and feel to your lips and make you party ready anytime. There are 26 shades in this range and have all types of colors from peaches, reds, pinks, browns to purples. It is one of the boldest lipstick ranges that I have tried. This will be given a tough competition by the newly launched Maybelline Color Sensational the Loaded Bold Lipsticks range. All of the shades from the LA Girl Flat Matte Velvet range naturally brighten up the face courtesy their bright pigmentation and high color payoff. These lipsticks all by themselves give a loud and beautiful look and I swear by them for parties. They do not need any extra makeup other than a nice coat of mascara as your bold lips would do all the talking. If you want to add more drama, line your upper lash line subtly and lower lash line half way through from the outer corner to the inner corner with jet black Kohl Kajal. To finish this look flick your upper lash line Kajal to form a wing using black fine tip pen eyeliner and you are good to go!

Staying Power:

The staying power is very good for this lipstick. It lasts for almost 6 hours without smudging. If you eat or drink something heavy, it will transfer a little. However, it leaves a beautiful stain on the lips. It took me quite an effort to remove it using a makeup remover while doing the swatches for this review. Using a lip balm after the lipstick leaves a stain makes it very elegant and helps keep the lips still colorful. It is very important to use a lip balm before application to prep your looks and make them healthy.

Would I recommend it?

Oh Ya! I will definitely recommend these lipsticks for their velvety matte finish and beautiful color pays off. But they are quite pricey and I would not recommend it for daily use. Instead, the Maybelline Colorshow Matte lipsticks and the Colorbar Velvet Matte lipsticks would be a reasonable option if you are not actually looking for the bold shades and want to go for Reds, Pinks, and Browns.

As it is said that girls cannot stop with one lipstick, go ahead and try the shades Hot Stuff, Frisky, Bliss, Electric and Arm Candy as well from this range and do comment on this post with your experience.

My experience with Maybelline Colossal Kajal Turquoise:

Packaging:

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a yellow packaging with “colossal” written in turquoise. It is slim and easy to use.

Directions to use:

You can use this on both your lower lash line as well as on the lid as eyeliner. To use as a Kajal, start from the point on the lower lash line near to the inner corner and go towards the end. This can be done a few times till the desired darkness is achieved.

To use as eyeliner, start from the point near the inner corner of the eye and move outwards. You can decrease the thickness while going outwards for a simple and elegant look. For a bold look, you can maintain the thickness throughout.

Shade and Texture:

The shade is a true turquoise. The texture is rightly creamy. However, its pigmentation is not too high so to say as it takes at least two to three swipes to get the true color on the eyelid and even more if on the lower lash line. It shows up as fairly well pigmented when swatched on the hand.

I prefer to use this on my eyelid than on my lower lash line as it does not show up much on my lower lash line. It suited me best when I used it as eyeliner.

Overall Performance of Maybelline Colossal Kajal Turquoise:

This would flatter all the skin tones. It instantly brightens up the face. But I would say it would look best on fair and wheatish skin tones and needs to be well complimented when moving towards the darker skin tones. On dusky complexion also it would look flattering but needs to be well built up and complimented with a nice moderately bright pink. It would look really striking along with a bright Barbie pink lipstick for fair and wheatish skin tones. Pinks will particularly look beautiful with this for all skin tones.

If you want your eyes to stand out completely, use the Maybelline colossal turquoise Kajal to get a smoked effect by applying a thick coat and smudging it. This will be ideal when you have to rush to a party and do not have an eyeshadow handy. Remember to keep it light and subtle and not go all out making it look odd. Put on any subtle pink lipstick with this to make your eyes grab all the attention. This works best for college girls or for someone on a budget as it is quite affordable and also they can experiment with looks more often compared to working women who would prefer the classic black kohl for work.

The Maybelline colossal Kajal is also available in other colors like crushed emerald, smoked silver and jeweled jade which are equally worth trying and experimenting with different looks. However, I like the colored Kajal from Maybelline better.

Staying Power:

The staying power is amazing for this Kajal. It lasts for at least 8 hours without smudging. If rubbed vigorously it would stay for a maximum of 3 to 3.5 hours.

Would I recommend it?

Oh Ya! I will definitely recommend this Kajal for that pop of color and it is totally worth the price.

Hey, Girls! I am back with yet another lip product review. This time it is not a lipstick, but it is a lip gloss. Today, I would be reviewing the Streetwear Color Rich Mega Shine Lip Gloss in the shades Ruby Dazzle, Sparkling Wine, Valentine Rose, Bubbly Blast and Poppy Pink. These are a mix of pinks and nudes. These were the first ever make up products that I bought right after college before starting my career. This range is a nice mix of nudes and bold colors, out of which few are with shimmer and few are without shimmer. The pigmentation is not as much as a lipstick though. I was obsessed by nude and sheer lip glosses back then!

The packaging is very simple. It comes in a transparent packaging along with a black opaque cap. The streetwear products are famous for the carton girl pictures they have on them and these glosses are no exception, making them even more cute and irresistible to buy. The true color of the gloss is evident due to the transparent packaging making it easy to recognize the color if you own more than one shade. The shade name is written at the bottom of the lipstick. It comes with a doe foot applicator making it very comfortable to apply in the corners of the lips.

Start by prepping your lips using a moisturizer to give a nice base. Then start applying the lip gloss from the middle of the lips and move towards the end.

Shade and Texture:

The texture is moderately creamy and does not dry the lips. These lip glosses are sheer but give a good color on applying two swipes. More than three layers make it look plump on the lips. Coming to the shades, we will move from the nudes to the pinks. The shade Ruby Dazzle is a beautiful nude shade with slight pink undertones. Sparkling Wine is a nude shade with hints of wine and berry undertones. Valentine Rose is a dusty rose pink color. Bubbly Blast is a very pretty pink shade with a hint of berry undertones. This is my second most favorite shade of Poppy Pink. Poppy Pink is a true poppy pink. It is the brightest of the lot. It is an adorable bright pink shade very near to a neutral fuchsia. These shades have a hint of shimmer in them.
