Bhujangasana { Cobra Pose }

Bhujangasana { Cobra Pose }

by Khushboo Doshi

Bhujangasana : For all of you guys who are new to the world of yoga, Bhujanasan is the one to start with. The word Bhujangasan is derived from two Sanskrit words bhujanga and asana, former meaning snake and latter pose. In English, it is also called the cobra pose. This yoga pose is also a part of the sequence of poses called suryanamaskar. The pose ensures proper stretching and strengthening of your back muscles. With more experience and strength one can increase their repetitions for better results. The pose requires you to lie down on your abdomen, and raise your torso like an actual snake by pressuring your palms against the ground, raise as high as possible for a thorough stretch.

Bhujangasana { Cobra Pose }

 Benefits of bhujangasan :
  1. It strengthens your back
  2. It is beneficial for kidney and liver functioning
  3. It soothes anger and helps in reducing temper
  4. It stretches your chest as well as abdomen
  5. It firms the buttocks
How to do bhujangasan?
  1. Lie down on the ground with your stomach touching the ground and place your palms right under your shoulder.
  2. Make sure your elbows are close to your body and keep your neck neutral to avoid any unwanted pressure.
  3. Slowly start inhaling and pushing down your palms to raise your chest.
  4. Keep your core engaged and raise your quads but keep your toes pressed against the floor.
  5. Repeat this pose 1-3 times in the beginning and increase your repetitions eventually.

Colorbar Stunning Brow Pencil Chestnut

Who is it for? Colorbar Stunning Brow Pencil Chestnut is ideal for all you ladies out there who have missed their brow shaping appointment or have ended up over plucking them and need a go-to solution to make your brows on fleek.

Colorbar Stunning Brow Pencil Chestnut

Price: ₹650
How to use it?

The pencil consists of two parts, the crayon, and the spoolie

Use the sharp end of the crayon to carefully fill in your brows and later use to spoolie to blend it for a natural and finished look.

Make sure you are placing the cap firmly after use so that the pigment doesn’t dry off.

My experience with the Colorbar Stunning Brow Pencil Chestnut

Packaging:

The pencil arrives in a silver color COLORBAR box. The pencil has the pigment on one end and a spoolie on the other, both of them are secured with a firm cap which keeps the product intact and hygienic. The product being so handy is completely travel-friendly.

Fragrance:

The product has no specific fragrance.

Colour, pigment & texture:

Chestnut 001 is a dark chocolate brown shade which blends in perfectly with all eyebrows that lie on the darker scheme. Since it’s not jet black, rather than standing out, it sets in your natural brows easily. The product is vastly pigmented hence, during application one or two glides are more than enough. The formula is creamier than other eyebrow pencils which makes it easier to apply and spreads more evenly.

Longevity:

This product lasts for a good 7-8 hours without smudging or spreading. It does not travel to your entire face, instead stays set for most of the day.

Experience:

The COLORBAR STUNNING BROW pencil is one of the few permanent products in my makeup kit. Everything about this pencil is just perfect. The shade fits in perfectly and the formula is so easy to apply and the spoolie completes the look in an impressive way. The pencil is rather less complicated than gel and pomade eyebrow fillers and less time-consuming. Since the pencil gives a look instantly, it helps in stopping us from overdoing our brows. It is travel-friendly and can be used on the go. This product has put a stop to my hunt for brow fillers and I am totally impressed by it.

What did I like about it?
  1. Smudge-free
  2. Travel-friendly
  3. Affordable price
  4. Its creamy formula
  5. It’s spoolie
  6. The Shade
  7. It is decently pigmented
  8. It is easy to use
  9. It’s longevity
What I dislike about it?
  1. It is only available in one shade
  2. Might need a sharpener from time to time
Would I recommend or repurchase it?

Yes! I would definitely recommend as well as repurchase it.

Sephora Bright Future Skin Tint

Sephora Bright Future Skin Tint Review

by Khushboo Doshi

Who is it for? Sephora Bright Future Skin Tint Is for Anyone looking for a shortcut for daily skin routine. This product checks off a variety of needs from sun protection to coverage with one swap.

Sephora Bright Future Skin Tint

Price: 18$ for 25 ml
How to use?

Take enough product in your palm and apply liberally 15 minutes before stepping out in sun.

My experience with Sephora Bright Future Skin Tint

Packaging:

It arrives in a medium sized beige tube which is placed in a small carton. The packaging is very basic and simple. Due to its small size and lightweight, it is very easy to carry around.

Colour & texture:

The formula has a light pigment which shows very subtly on the skin. It is very moisturizing and comes off a little greasy on certain skin types. The tint flows like a smooth liquid cream. It works like a magic on dry to normal skin but gives an unwanted shine on oily skin.

Fragrance:

There is no added fragrance or flavor. Instead after applying it smells a little strange for some time before wearing off.

Experience:

I came across Sephora bright future skin tint while searching for an everyday sunscreen. My experience with the product has been satisfactory since I have combination skin, the product makes it look greasy at times. Apart from that it does cover lines and gives a fresh tint. But the product wears off in about 3 hours. The shade although was a perfect match for me which is a very rare case. I have a medium fair skin and I bought the shade beige. Even though I like this product a lot, it didn’t work out with my skin type.

What do I like about this product?
  1. The tint gives a decent coverage
  2. The shade was a perfect match for my skin
  3. It has SPF 25
  4. It is easy to carry around
  5. It has a good consistency
What do I dislike about this product?
  1. It does not work for oily skin
  2. It wears off quickly
  3. It is a little expensive for the quantity
  4. It has a strange smell
  5. It is not readily available
Would I repurchase or recommend?

I would definitely recommend it for people with dry skin type, but would not repurchase it for myself.

Bath and Body Works Pink Cashmere Body Cream

Who is this for? Bath and  Body Works Pink Cashmere Body Cream Is for those looking for Pampering and deep conditioning along with a therapeutic fragrance.

Bath and Body Works Pink Cashmere Body Cream

How much does it cost?

Rs 1000 for 8oz

How to use?

Take a considerable amount in your palms and apply all over your body while thoroughly rubbing it on the skin.

My experience with the Bath and  Body Works Pink Cashmere Body Cream

Packaging:

It comes in a tall attractive bottle which is very eye-catching due to its rose gold shade with cashmere petals figured all over it. The bottle is a tad bit big and heavy to carry around on a daily basis, but its firm closing makes it reliable while traveling.

Colour and texture:

The cream is a white colored blend which is a little heavy. It does not flow out of the bottle but comes out in patches of potion. It has a very buttery texture.

Fragrance:

It has a very floral yet soothing fragrance and reminds you about gardens and butterflies. The fragrance of the body cream is consistent from the very first drop till the end of the day.

Experience:

My personal experience with the body cream has been average. It did wonders to my skin during the dry winters and avoided the flakiness. Its 24-hour nourishment claims are nothing but the absolute truth. Yet it is a very seasonal product, since it feels very greasy and heavy on the skin during other seasons. It not only over hydrating for skin, at times it isn’t well absorbed either which makes your skin irritable.

The brand unavailability in India is another issue which makes importing the product a little pricey. But the quantity of the product reasons the cost to some extent. One bottle of this body cream lasts long since a small amount covers a large skin surface area. Since most of us are used to purchasing product based on its fragrance, it does complete justice by providing a sweet and refreshing scent along with hydration.

Even though it is not suitable for all skin types and climatic conditions, Bath & Body Works has tried to maintain the brand standards.

What do I like about the body cream?
  1. It is deep moisturizing
  2. It has a secure packaging
  3. It has an enchanting fragrance
  4. It provides 24-hour hydration
  5. It is easy to use
  6. It has aloe butter to soothe the skin
What I dislike about the body cream?
  1. It is greasy for certain skin types
  2. It cannot be used throughout the year
  3. It does not so travel-friendly
  4. It is not easily available in India
  5. It is not so pocket-friendly
Would I repurchase or recommend it?

I would definitely recommend it to individuals who are troubled with dry and flaky skin and those who live in a cool climate. I would not repurchase this product since it makes my skin greasy for most parts of the year.

Who is it for? Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Fine Fragrance Mist is for those looking for a long lasting floral yet subtle fragrance for everyday use.

Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Fine Fragrance Mist

Price -

$14.00 for 18 FL OZ / 236 ml

How to use it?

Hold it upright and spray a lavish splash or a light spritz either on clothes or directly on skin and rub.

Sensitive skin alert?

No, but it is always advised to use a little product on the back of your palm for assurance.

My experience with Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Fine Fragrance Mist

Packaging

The body mist arrives in a red colored cylindrical bottle which is the case with most of the bath & body works body mists. The bottle has beautiful graphics of the actual cherry blossom flowers. We tend to lose the caps of our body mists but for this particular bottle, the cap fits just right and does not come off easily. The bottle being a little too long is not travel-friendly but its plastic structure makes it pretty tough.

Colour and composition

The solution looks deep red in the bottle but on spraying it comes out as a faint shade of pink which is only visible on light shaded fabrics. Staining of the fabrics can be avoided by rubbing it right after spraying. The consistency of the composition is very watery.

Fragrance

The fragrance is light and airy hence, does not entire the room before you but it is also consistent enough to be felt even at the end of the day. The fragrance overall is age neutral and perfect for everyday wear. It is sweet enough to elate you and strong enough to make others stop and turn.

Keynotes: Japanese Cherry Blossom, Asian Pear, Fresh Mimosa Petals, White Jasmine, Blushing sandalwood.

Experience

My experience with this body mist has been a positive one. I was in search of something for everyday wear. Since I am not a fan of loud, into the face scents I tried Japanese Cherry Blossom body mist. The best part about it was the aloe nourishment it provides to the skin as most of the body fragrances tend to irritate my skin. On applying it does smell like alcohol for a few seconds before unraveling the actual scent. But the inevitable rub does bother me at times. Overall judging by the fragrance, it is absolutely amazing.

What do I like about the body mist?
  1. Long lasting
  2. Not Overpowering
  3. Refreshing scent
  4. Cheaper than perfumes
  5. Aloe nourishment for skin
What do I dislike about the body mist?
  1. Not travel-friendly
  2. Might leave a stain
  3. Availability in India is an issue
  4. Not suitable for gym use
Would I recommend or repurchase?

This is one of the best flavors of the Bath & Body Works collection. I love its fragrance and would definitely repurchase it. I would also recommend it to everyone.
