I have combination skin. A few months back I suffered from a bad bout of adult acne. This is when I gave my skincare regimen a total haul! First I started using the Sebamed face wash for daily gentle face cleansing. The second thing I added was the Avene Cleanance Mask. I don’t know what has worked wonders, but I really don’t get any more zits! *touchwood*

So, I have come today especially, for all you ladies with oily, blemish prone skin. If you have acne and are not taking any medication for it, I suggest you read this review further!!

A cream/powder exfoliating and cleansing face mask. For Oily, blemish-prone Skin. Not for dry skinned ladies unless you are suffering from acne!

What the Brand Claims Avene Cleanance Exfoliating & Absorbing Mask:

This 3-in-1 clay mask turns into a scrub to deeply cleanse, exfoliate and absorb oil and visibly reduces the appearance of skin blemishes.  Rich in Avene Thermal Spring Water and Zinc gluconate to soothe irritation and redness and Monolaurin to regulate the overproduction of oil. Absorbent powders mattify skin for a complexion that is clear and feels smooth.

How to Use:

• Apply to dry skin. Leave on for 5 minutes.
• Wet your hands and gently massage using circular movements.
• Rinse thoroughly and pat dry.
• May be used once or twice a week, according to the skin type and condition.

 

My Experience with Avene Cleanance Exfoliating & Absorbing Mask:

This face mask has a very soft texture…but it is dry. I first dampen my face and gently apply it in circular motions. The mask has minute granules in it. It gives a mild scrubbing action.I feel this mask is a very good exfoliator. I leave it on for 5 minutes and wash off with lukewarm water. On application, this mask gives a slight tingling feeling. But do not keep it on if it gives you a burning sensation. After removing the mask, I feel my skin has been thoroughly cleaned. It looks bright and glowy. The skin becomes soft and baby skin like to touch.

 

 

To soothe my skin immediately, I skip the toner. Instead, I splash on cold water for 2-3 minutes. Post this; I apply a rich night cream…to deeply nourish my skin.

Do this once a week for a month…in the middle of the week…say every Wednesday. Be careful, not to scrub your skin that day…and no other face mask/steam/facial treatment.
