It is extremely difficult to choose the right lipstick color when some colors look very similar. It becomes even more difficult when the lighting in the cosmetic shop is too much and it gets really confusing and time taking. I saw another post here which showed around 50 colors and their swatches which I found extremely useful and helpful. Today I will be reviewing just one color numbered 60. (Which obviously hasn’t been reviewed yet!)

Colorbar is a brand from the US that has come all the way to India owing to its price and pigmentation that it gives. They have a variety of products from lip care, lip colors, highlighters, foundation, kohl and much more. It is indeed famous become almost all the products are extremely affordable and worth the money. All the lipstick shades are highly pigmented and stay for really long. The color I will be reviewing today is obsessed orange 60.

Brand claims to give highly pigmented and long lasting color with a sheer fragrance. It doesn’t chap the lips and doesn’t crack it too. It doesn’t smudge and lasts pretty long. They have matte as well as shiny shades of lipstick. But this particular lipstick is moisturizing and matte.

How to use

Swipe this product over lips for a light casual-day-out look or apply around 2 or 3 coats for a much bolder look.

My experience with Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick Obsessed Orange

I used to have dark lips and this was because of sun damage, bad lifestyle and lots of junk (which I have currently banned!). Because of this, I couldn’t wear those beautiful nude shades which we see in almost every girl’s make-up bag. So I thought of buying an orangish shade first and then correcting my dark lips and further using nude shades. This particular shade in orange is really pretty. It is moisturizing as well as matte. It can be used to cover the pigmentation on lips and it won’t even feel or look heavy. It plumps up the lips to a certain extent. And this shade can be used in the morning, evening or night. This color is a go-to shade in every occasion at every point of time in day or night. There is a certain way to apply lipsticks so that they stay for really long and don’t bleed out. I don’t really use all those baby powders to set my lipstick or something, I usually take a lip filler brush and line my lips by taking some product from the same lipstick that I would apply. Trust me, it is a great idea. I know it is time consuming but it stays for long and looks natural. In fact, it is best to use a lip filler brush to apply lips to the whole area. Another advantage is that it is not needed to apply a separate lip balm prior to this. It gives a beautiful finish to the lips and makes it look voluptuous and plump. So girls, go try this color.

It comes in a bullet type of usual lipstick tin and packed in a plastic cover from outside. The shade name and color are mentioned in the back of the lipstick which is clearly visible.
