Have you guys experienced this- every time the season changes, the scalp tends to become itchy and flakey. I mean, no matter how much you take care of your hair, this demon does not leave you in peace! I have cultivated the habit of using an anti dandruff shampoo once a week. But, that one use and my hair becomes like straw!!On the recommendation of my friend , I tried this shampoo. She claimed that even though this shampoo is not sold as an anti dandruff shampoo; it cleared her flaky scalp.
The shampoo is the Indian Rose Absolute Shampoo of Forest Essentials. The moment I heard the name, I was intrigued .An all natural ayurvedic shampoo…that smells of roses? Sounds damn good! Let’s see if it has lived up to its claims!
What is it and who is it for?
An ayurvedic hair cleanser ,suitable for all hair types.
Rs 775 for 200 ml

My Experience with Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser Indian Rose Absolute:
I love the packaging of this shampoo. Forest Essentials sells its products with the tagline, luxurious Ayurveda. They are so right! The bottle looks very elegant and classy. Not only does the bottle look beautiful, it’s very sturdy too. Perfect for traveling!
I dilute half a cap of shampoo in 5 times water. This is enough to wash my long hair in two rounds. Despite being free of SLS ,the shampoo lathers reasonably well. Don’t expect it to lather as much as other chemical shampoos.
This shampoo cleans my scalp really well. It leaves my hair squeaky clean. I do not use a hair conditioner for my hair. For me hair conditioners cause build up. For normal hair like mine, I do not feel the need for any conditioners. If you have very dry hair, they a conditioner might be needed. One important point to note is, don’t use too much of this shampoo. If you use it undiluted or too much, your hair will become dry and straw like. One bottle of this shampoo lasts me 3-4 months , with alternate day use!
The rose absolute shampoo suits my hair a lot. My hair feels light, bouncy and shiny. To my surprise, this shampoo ACTUALLY fights dandruff!! In fact, this has replaced my chemical dandruff shampoos!! A convert for life 🙂
