Khadi is considered as an affordable herbal brand. I was hunting for a light body lotion for summers as I cannot apply thick lotions now. Aloe Vera is one magical plant for me because it always solves my skin issues effectively. I never used Aloe Vera based body lotion until now. I have used Khadi body wash in the past and it was a good experience. Also, can anyone spot the spelling mistake? *headbang* they could at least correct it! It is the same everywhere even now. Let’s see if this lotion lives up to its claims.
Basic info of the Khadi Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion:
Rs 85 for 210 ml.
What the brand says:
Nourishing and oil free moisturizer which helps to replenish the lost skin moisture. Use after skin treatments. It can be used for all skin types.
My experience with the Khadi Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion:
Khadi really needs to amp up their packaging game. I mean every product comes in the same plastic bottle with the black cap! *cringes* the bottle is quite bulky, thus not suitable for traveling. The lotion is very thick and in white color. The main con is that it smells of highly of aloe Vera and it is not at all pleasant. The smell doesn’t last long but stays for a couple of hours. Another con is that once I hit the last past half the bottle, it is going to get difficult to squeeze out of it. One thing I noticed is that they mention preservatives as one of the ingredients. I feel that they should write what preservatives are being used as we have the right to know if their products contain parabens.
Now, this lotion is for face and hands. However, it is pretty thick for summers so I can only apply this in winters. I have combination skin but dry skin beauties will love this. I got it for my entire body and it does a good job of moisturization. One would need only pea sized amount because if you go overboard, it will take a lot of time to absorb. My hands look nice and supple immediately after use. Khadi is available both online and in Khadi stores. If you have the chance, test it out and then go ahead.
The overall performance of the Khadi Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion:
It is a decent product. Apart from cons like fragrance and packaging issues, it is a good body lotion. From the price point, it is very good as it will last me for the entire season.
Would I recommend the Khadi Aloe Vera Moisturizing Lotion?
Dry skin beauties can use it anytime but I suggest others stay clear away from this until winter season. However, if you want this for the body then you won’t be disappointed.
