Product Sponsored by Glossypolish.Recently, I was asked to represent Glossy Polish at a Kiehls event that was taking place at the store at Inorbit Mall, Malad. And I took up the opportunity immediately. I’ve always been a makeup junkie but its only recently that I’ve started taking interest in skincare. I’ve begun to realize the importance of a good skincare routine and I can’t tell you how much of a difference it makes to the overall look of the skin. So when Kiehls was having this event, I was really excited to learn about their products as I haven’t used anything from the brand before. After the event, I was given a goodie bag with samples of products according to my skin type and a hand cream- Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve.
Basic Information about the Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
Price & Quantity
So obviously I didn’t pay for the product as it came in the goodie bag. But, it retails for INR 1200 for 75ml
What the brand claims about the Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
This heavy-duty treatment for the driest, most active hands is a thick, rich formula for all-day care and protection.
The formula allows skin to actually draw and absorb water from the air, forming a glove-like protective barrier against moisture loss.
With a blend of botanical oils and natural wax derived from Olive Oil, it soothes and conditions skin.
Protects against and repairs the look of severe dryness caused by heavy industrial work, manual labor, neglect, or exposure to harsh elements.
Avocado Oil, Derived From The Fruit Of A Tropical American Tree, Is A Rich, Fatty-Acid Emollient. Avocado Oil Is Known To Be The Most Moisturizing Of Any Fruit Oil. It Is Also A Natural Source Of Amino Acid Proteins, Vitamins A, D, E, And Potassium. Helps To Restore The Natural Moisture Of The Skin. Sesame Oil, Which Is A Refined Moisturizing Oil Derived From Sesame Seeds, Has The Same Emollient Properties As Other Nut And Vegetable Oils And Is Commonly Used As A Carrier Oil For Skin Care Products. Absorbs Easily And Softens The Skin.
How to apply the Kiehls Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
To address severe dryness apply liberally to clean hands. For best results, reapply to hands after washing.
My experience with the Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve
The hand cream comes in a white tube with blue printing. The front of the tube has details about the formulation and directions to use. While the back has the ingredients mentioned and pricing details. The mouth of the tube is sized perfectly as it lets out just the right amount of product. The flap cap is tight which works well, there’s no product spillage. The 75ml pack is just right as it’s easy to carry around.
The cream is of thick consistency and has very subtle eucalyptus scent. The product has a silky texture to it and once applied, the skin feels lovely. Initially when just applied, it feels greasy but after massaging in the product, it feels good. The product gets absorbed by my skin extremely fast, so it needs to be reapplied every few hours. Now, this product is ideally meant for those who have extremely dry skin. I don’t have the issue, so it doesn’t do much for me. But I think this will work wonderfully well for those with dry hands.
When it comes to pricing, I have to be honest, it is a little expensive. I wouldn’t purchase a hand cream as INR 1200 is a little steep.

Would I repurchase & recommend?
I wouldn’t repurchase the product because I don’t have dry skin and the pricing is a little high. However, if it fits into your budget and you have a dry hand issue, then I’d totally recommend it as it could work wonders.
