Dear adult life, you suck sometimes.
Endless work, no rest, constant pressure and ugly zits on my face. WHY YOU DO THIS?
I have always had fairly clear skin all my life and I did nothing extraordinary to achieve that. Just the regular cleansing, toning, moisturizing. And if I’m too lazy, then just the cleansing and moisturizing. But come October 2016, and the dark phase of my life began. A new pimple every day. A cluster of pimples on both my cheeks and 2-3 on my forehead, accompanied by an occasional filthy visitor on my chin too! Can life get any worse? I suppose it can, when these unwelcome visitors leave their marks behind. Marks which refuse to go, no matter what! I have tried all the possible desi nuskaas, and also taken proper medication from the dermatologist. Nothing worked, and the marks kept getting worse. So I delved into some research of my own and came across this product called “La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo”. After reading rave reviews by numerous bloggers and you tubers, I thought of giving this product a try. And after having used it for 2 months, I am presenting my thoughts on it. Read on to find out.

My Experience with La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream
PACKAGING- Tube packaging. Simple, hygienic and efficient.
TEXTURE AND SMELL- It has a gel like texture. It is not sticky at all. It takes seconds to absorb, after which you won’t even feel like you have applied anything on your face. It thus acts like a suitable makeup base as well. For those who have dry skin, you might need to put moisturizer over it as it tends to be a little on the drier side. It has a very feeble scent, almost unnoticeable.
After slight massage:
EXPERIENCE- After parting with 1,350 bucks and reading all the exceptional reviews, I was beaming with happiness when I got my hands on this product.
But I have a bittersweet experience to share. Sadly, it did not turn out to be my knight in shining armor. I used the product religiously every morning and evening. At first, I felt a light tingling sensation when I applied it. Nothing major that will irritate your skin, just light tingling. For 2-3 days, it had no visible results. After a week of usage, I saw that it had started working. Very slightly so, but it was working. It gets rid of the zits at an aching slow pace. Worse still, it does not help anyhow in preventing new breakouts. In the process of getting rid of the older zits, new ones kept appearing. And it does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for the marks. It has in no way lightened them, let alone getting rid of them. I guess it works only for people with relatively problem free skin. It will help in fighting the one or two occasional pimples on the face very well, but if you have a cluster of them like me, then I don’t think you will be delighted by this product.
Overall Performance of La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo (+) Acne Treatment Cream
Not great
Will I Recommend/ Repurchase?
CONCLUSION- If you have minimal acne, you can use this product. Or in general, since it helps in keeping the oil on your face at bay. If you have serious acne issues or marks, you will not be blown away by this product.
