I have personally never liked foundations. They feel so fake in every way – on my skin and to look at too. Take a small amount in your hand. Dot it around your face and neck with fingers and blend well.

My Experience with Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation

My acne prone skin really doesn’t like it when I apply anything unnatural to my face. So I am pretty cautious in that respect. And was with this foundation as well. I tried it because my mother had bought it for herself and she is a Lakme fan for foundations. Always Lakme for her. This was the “coral” shade.

And yes, it’s good. It covers up well, stays soft – which is the best part. It also gives that instant cute glow that you would want right before stepping out. Though it is smudge free, it is not that much water resistant as we would like. It lasts well through the day, but as a precaution, do correct/reapply it in the later part of the day. I think using it with a primer would be helpful in making it last longer.

It is great for everyday use, as it doesn’t even feel like you have anything on your face. And it has good overall longevity too. But I prefer it for occasions only, because of my acne-prone skin. It’s not reactive to the skin or anything like that, no. It’s just I prefer it that way.
