Sometimes we need a little bit of clarifying hair washes to get rid of gunks from the scalp which our ordinary cream formula shampoos fail to take care of. These types of purifying shampoos often have very drying effects on hair but this new range claims to do the cleaning in a hydrating way. My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo

Packaging- The color theme for this shampoo is ocean blue so the shampoo bottle, its flip-open lid and even the product bears shades of ocean blue. The packaging of this shampoo is very simple yet sturdy. I did not have to experience any spillage issues. The full ingredient list is mentioned on the packaging which is very important for me. Overall, this practical packaging passes my test with high marks.

Colour & Texture- This shampoo looks shimmery ocean-blue. Its consistency is light not very dense. It is able to produce a good amount of cleansing foam when applied with water. The consistency is good for a clarifying shampoo.

Fragrance- This product has a fresh fragrance to it. The fragrance has a hint of ‘clay’ in it. Such smell is quite uncommon in easily available skin or hair care products.

Effect- This shampoo creates a mild cooling effect on the scalp. This slight tingly feeling is something new this product has to offer. But, if it gets in the eyes, it may generate burning sensations so be a little careful while using this.

How I use It- I like to take turns with this shampoo and my favorite Dove Intense Repair shampoo to keep my hair cleansed as well as frizz-free. With this shampoo, less is always more, So, I need just a coin-size product to cover my scalp. I sometimes keep the shampoo on my hair for 5-10 seconds to enjoy the freshening tingles.

Overall Performance of L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo

I found L’Oreal Paris Extraordinary Clay Shampoo to be a fuss-free hair cleanser with lots of freshening components like fresh fragrance, clarifying formula and especially the tingly feeling. This shampoo removes the oiliness and helps to volumize the hair. My oily scalp and dry hair like this shampoo a lot. But, sadly, this shampoo alone is not enough to keep a check on unmanageable hair, for that purpose you need a moisturizing conditioner.
