If I were to insist, that you ladies add one thing to your skin treatment routine- it will be a vitamin C serum. Vitamin C, in my experience with it since the past 2 years, is a GEM of a skin care treatment. The only known substance to rewind sun damage and reduce dark spots.

What does the Brand Claim about Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum

Antioxidant Vitamin C protects skin from free radicals and is essential in collagen production. This   Vitamin C Serum contains 7.5% Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) to reduce discoloration and brighten skin. Formulated with Hyaluronic Acid to retain skin’s natural moisture and Collagen to enhance skin’s firmness and elasticity.

How to Use:

Apply it AM, PM just before moisturizing or mixed with moisturizer.

My Experience with Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum

This serum comes in a dark green opaque dropper bottle, just the correct way vitamin C serums are supposed to be packed in. This does not allow any light to penetrate and oxidize the vitamin C. The dropper is hygienic and convenient. Full marks for the packaging.

The serum itself is very light, kind of super light dry oil. It gets instantly absorbed into the skin without leaving any tacky feeling behind. It might sting on the dry areas of your face. In fact, I take the stinging to know which parts of my face are not looking dry, but are actually dehydrated. I do not mix this with my moisturizer. I cleanse tone and then put this on, BEFORE putting on a moisturizer.

This serum is NOT supposed to hydrate your skin. So don’t expect it to do that. It is a full on repairing system that does exactly what it promises.

Over the past one year, it has really helped even out my skin tone. This does not irritate my skin; neither does it do anything to fix the breakouts. It only and only repairs your skin, esp. the sun damage. Like it promises  🙂 .For breakouts, I SWEAR by this face wash here.
