Whether it is excess dryness or excess oiliness neither is good for our skin.Therefore it is important for us to keep the skin in a state of balance so that it is neither too oily nor too dry. Now I have combination skin. So my skin contains a bit of both. For me, my T area is on the drier side while my cheeks, cupid bow, and chin are on the oilier side.So maintaining a balance is a necessity for me. I have always been a fan of sheet masks because of their ability to provide quick fixes. Yes, I know, that their effects don’t last for more than a couple of days, but they still do a good job for those couple of days. And I keep picking up sheet masks about every two to three weeks.In my recent shopping spree for sheet masks, I picked up a few from this Korean brand called Its Skin that launched on Nykaa a couple of months back. And today I’ll be reviewing their It’s Skin Sheet Mask Tea Tree that I tried out last weekend!

Basic Info About Its Skin Sheet Mask Tea Tree

A sheet mask restores the moisture to the dry skin and removes the excess oil from the oily skin. It also rejuvenates the skin so that it feels and looks healthy.

What Does the Brand Claim?

The cushion pulp sheet includes nutrition from fresh and natural ingredients, giving its own nourishment to the skin as well as solving skin problems. The Fresh Mask Tea Tree balances skin’s moisture level with a feeling of refreshment.

Rs. 100 for a sheet containing 20 ml of the serum, on Nykaa.com and also their stores.

How to Use It

1. Cleanse face with your face wash.
2. Apply toner to even out the skin tone.
3. Rip open the packet slowly and apply the sheet mask on your face, adjusting the holes for the eyes, lips and nose properly.
4. Remove the mask after 15-20 minutes and then pat the excess serum into the skin gently.

My Experience with Its Skin Sheet Mask Tea Tree

Packaging

This sheet mask comes in a glossy rectangular packet that is a combination of blue and white. There are small slits on the top right and left corners to make ripping easier. The packaging is hygienic and sturdy and therefore is perfect for travels.

Texture and Consistency

The sheet mask is very similar to The Face shop sheet masks. It isn’t as soft as it claims but it is quite comfortable on the skin. The serum is quite runny and therefore you need to be careful not to spill while application. The serum isn’t too sticky and is absorbed into the skin fairly fast.

Fragrance

It has a soothing and fresh fragrance but that doesn’t stay long after the mask is removed.

Effects

I have always liked how the tea tree oil works on my skin. It works on my pimples quite well. Though this mask doesn’t really do much about the pimples, it didn’t cause any new breakouts. The mask fit perfectly on my face. Also as promised, it did balance the amount of moisture on my face fixing both the dry and the oily patches. It added a healthy glow to the skin. The fragrance made me feel refreshed. My skin felt quite smooth, soft and supple after applying this mask. There was a lot of excess serum in the packet. So I used that on others parts of my body that needed moisture. Like my neck, and elbows.

The effects, however, lasted for about two days and completely wore off by the middle of day three. So all in all, I was pretty happy with its results.
