The Body Shop Olive Body Scrub Review

Who is this for? The Body Shop Olive Body Scrub is An olive body scrub. Suitable for everyone. Those with body acne, please avoid using body scrubs in general. The concept of body scrubs is alien to most of us! If you actually see there are three kinds of people around. The first kind that will not use anything but soap for bathing, the second kind will use a loofah with shower gel and be content that their skin is getting exfoliated and the third kind. Who regularly use a body scrub. I know so many of you have been taking bath the regular way. The very concept of body scrubs is a luxury and not a necessity. I myself belonged to that group not so long ago. Then I have gifted this set of body scrubs…and I was hooked  🙂  There is not s single thing that can give your skin a better and deep conditioning than a body scrub can. Really! If you regularly face the problem of under skin or ingrown hair, you MUST use body scrubs atleast twice a week. This will get the blood circulation moving, keep your skin youthful and protect you from cellulite and even stretch marks!

My Experience with The Body Shop Olive Body Scrub

This body scrub comes in a sturdy tub packaging. The packaging while not hygienic is quite convenient. I suggest you take out the required amount of scrub in a separate bowl. This way neither will the scrub get contaminated nor will water get into the jar.

The scrub is a cream based one with good gritty granules. It is super easy to massage with scrub and the granules effectively exfoliate the skin. I actually prefer the cream based scrubs to the gel-based ones. They provide a better hydration. My skin feels very soft and well cleansed after using this. I suggest, you always use a good body moisturizer after the scrub. No matter how good and hydrating the scrub is.

Over the past few months, the problem of ingrown hair has almost vanished with regular use of the body scrubs.

Fragrance wise, the fragrance of this scrub is pretty neutral. It is a typical bitter olive oil scent. If you want something that smells great, look for other variants of your choice. If you are content with a great product that can be used by the entire family, go for this.

  • Provides very good exfoliation
  • Helps solve the problem of under skin and ingrown hair with regular use
  • Makes my skin soft
  • Neutral fragrance can be used by the entire family
  • Creamy and easy to work with
  • Tub packaging is not hygienic
  • A bit pricey
Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?

I will not repurchase this immediately. I am on the lookout for another creamy and gritty scrub like this, which smells great too. If in case I do not find, I will come back and repurchase this. Recommended if you like the scent or don’t want any special fragrance.
