Also, using the same shade of lip liner as that of lipstick makes the lipstick color last longer and the color comes out bright and beautiful. So today, I will be reviewing the Wet N Wild Color Icon Lip Liner Willow . Recently they launched exclusively on nykaa and I purchased a few lip liners. Read on to know whether the product is worth it or not.

What is it?       

Wet n wild color icon lip liner “willow” is a lip liner that is used to fill the lips prior to application of lipstick. Wet n wild believes in manufacturing high quality, yet affordable makeup products which can reach out to all the people. They don’t test their products on animals. They claim to have the same ingredient list as that of other high-end luxury brands. Apart from this, they have moisturizing and hydrating ingredients like shea butter, vitamin E oil, and macadamia nut oil. They also guarantee that we, after using the product, will declare it to be the best brand of life.

My experience with Wet N Wild Color Icon Lip Liner Willow

 

Texture

It has a smooth, creamy texture which glides easily on the contour of the lips.

How to use

Open the cap to reveal the pencil. Start with the inner corner of your mouth and apply it outwards and fill in where required

Fragrance

It smells like wood, the smell is not too strong, hence I don’t have any problem with it

My experience

Wet n wild is considered to be one of the best, good quality, affordable make-up brand and fortunately, it recently launched in India exclusively on the nykaa website. I have always wanted to try good lip liners and I have also seen many people just filling in their lips and using lip liners as lipsticks itself. Nothing else. I wanted to try the same. I purchased the shade willow in this range. Firstly, good packaging. The consistency of the product is creamy which hydrates the lips and glides easily on the lips. This shade resembles a nude lipstick and hence covers my pigmented lips. I used it as a lip liner and over it, applied some lipstick. I tried to use it as a lipstick, just apply it all over the lips and it covered my pigmented lips but didn’t really stay long. If you want to apply a light shade of lipstick and are worried about your pigmented lips, this is a great choice. Apply this all over your lips and apply your favorite shade of lipstick.  It stays for around 3 hours. So, my suggestion would be to use this as a lip liner only. For the price, the product is amazing and worth it.

Would I repurchase or recommend?

Yes, I recommend this to people who have pigmented lips so that the pigmentation can be covered with this lip pencil. This doesn’t stay long but when you apply it under the lipstick, covers the pigmented lips and gives an even looking color to the lips. I won’t repurchase this though.
