Recently, there has been a trend of using body washes. Dove is one of the leading brands and has launched its own series of body washes, which appealed my mom and she bought this product because she is a super fan of Dove. So here I am reviewing Dove deeply nourishing body wash.

My experience with the Dove Deeply Nourishing Body Wash

First impression:

My first impression was solely based on packaging. The bottle is uniquely shaped. The shape resembles that of a teardrop with a blue flip cap. The packaging is sturdy and the cap shuts tightly leaving no scope for leakage. The bottle is white in color with dark blue labeling and hence, it is pretty to look at.

What I felt after using the product?

When I first poured the body wash in my hands, I felt a creamy soft touch on my skin. The texture of the body wash is so creamy and smooth that it is beyond explanation. Although the fragrance is little too strong, still it is refreshing to smell. Strong smell can sometimes repel people, but this was not the case with me. I loved the smell. When I applied this soft butter like cream of body wash on my skin, I saw that the cream is very soapy. Just one stroke made bubbles on my skin. The product is easy to wash and rinses off in a single wash.

What turned me off was the fact that this soapy wash made my skin dry. I have a normal skin and instead of moisturizing it, it further dried my skin. Maybe it was due to soapy nature of this body wash, but whatever was the reason, I stopped using this body wash thereafter.

Overall performance of Dove Deeply Nourishing Body Wash

The best thing about this product is that it has a creamy feel and an intoxicating strong fragrance. List of positives of this product are as follows:

The negative thing about this product is that it dries the skin after using instead of nourishing it. There are other body washes in the market which is better than this product in the same price range.

Would I recommend?

The answer to this question is two-fold. I would only recommend this product to those people who have oily skin. This worked perfectly on my mother, who has super-oily skin. I won’t recommend this product to normal or dry skin people. As it takes away the natural oils of the skin leaving it dry.  Also, I won’t recommend this product to those people who don’t like strong smelling things as this body wash has extremely strong fragrance. Though it didn’t bother me much, but it may annoy some people. I will rate this product 3/5.
