When it comes to moisturizing shampoos from Dove, you can always count me as a buyer of it! My extremely dry and frizzy hair never fails to let my makeup looks down by being tremendously unruly so I have to put my trust upon heavily nourishing hair washes. Today I am reviewing Dove Hair Therapy Intense Repair Shampoo. I often experiment with shampoos from various brands. Some of them work and some do not. When I come across something very under-nourishing for my hair, the Intense Repair shampoo always comes to my rescue. Recently the situation has been worse for my hair because the monsoon weather is making my hair all unruly. That is the reason I bought a bigger bottle of Dove Intense Repair shampoo a few days ago. Here is how this product works on my hair.

My Experience with Dove Hair Therapy Intense Repair Shampoo
Packaging- This shampoo comes in a white plastic bottle with a plastic flip-open cap. The opening flap of the lid bears an embossing of Dove’s official logo. As usual, the front side of the packaging one would find the product name, some claims, and a blue label graphics. The back side, however, bears a hair damage pie diagram mentioning the symptoms of various stages of hair damage. I have bought a bigger bottle to use at home but this shampoo is available in travel-safe sizes also. In fewer words, the packaging is sturdy and user-friendly.
Colour & Texture- The color of this shampoo is pearly white and its texture is medium. It is neither too runny nor very thick. It produces a decent amount of moisture rich foam when it is rubbed with water. The product gets off from the hair easily so there is not too much water wastage with this shampoo.
Fragrance- The shampoo has a nice floral fragrance to it. Lots of other Dove hair care items have scents with similar notes. I quite like the fragrance because a hint of it stays through the day making my hair smell heavenly.
Effectiveness- I like to wash my hair twice in one go. First time to get rid of the oil from the pre-shampoo oiling; the second time to soak in the good ingredients present in my hair cleanser. As this is a moisturizing shampoo, the first rinse does not feel enough to remove the excess oil completely. But, in the second rinse, every bit of dirt gets out of my hair as is the case with the remaining oiliness. The hair gets softer, smoother and more manageable after drying. I follow it up with a conditioner from the same range to get the optimum benefits. My mom does not have very dry hair. She does not even need a conditioner after washing her hair with it. I find this shampoo to be the very effective cleanser for dry, damaged and heat treated hair.
