Ingredients Required For Home Made Strawberry Sauce
- 1/2 Kg fresh Strawberries
- 3/4 Cup Castor Sugar (Powdered Sugar)
- Lemon/Orange Rind 1 Spoon
- Half Cup Water
Procedure of making Home Made Strawberry Sauce
Wash the strawberries well. Strain them through a colander to remove excess water.
Remove the hull/top of the strawberries and chop them roughly. In a heavy bottomed pan, add the cut strawberries, orange rind, and sugar. Also, add 1 medium cup water.
Set the mixture to boil on medium heat. Cook for 10 minutes, until the mixture, has started to thicken. Once it cools, add the juice of half a lemon to it; if you want. This will balance the added sweetness, and bring out the delicate tartness. Now put this cooled strawberry compote’ in a blender. You can also use it as it is…on things that require texture-like the french toast etc.
That’s it-look how tempting it is!!
