I like facial scrubs with the high exfoliating factor. Scrubs with too minute granules do not feel enough to remove my stubborn blackheads. But, I always make sure that my face defoliator is not harsh on skin because when I am in hurry I lose control over my scrubbing motion and the neat result is an irritated face. I have been using VLCC’s Rose scrub and St. Ives scrub for some time now. Recently I got myself a new face scrub from Himalaya’s Tan Removal Orange range. This new budget-friendly tan clearing range by Himalaya consists of a face wash, a scrub, and a peel-off mask. Today I will be reviewing the second product i.e. the scrub from the collection the Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Face Scrub. Stay tuned to find out more about this facial exfoliator.

My Experience with Himalaya Tan Removal Orange Face Scrub
Packaging- This facial exfoliator comes packed in a white plastic tube with Himalaya’s signature green flip-open lid. The packaging is opaque so one has to make guesses on the amount of product remaining in the tube. However, the tube itself is quite strongly built and there is zero spillage issue associated with it. Starting from the claims to the complete constituent details, every bit of required information is mentioned on the packaging. I need to make a special mention about the label graphics here which depicts some tangerines in vibrant orange color. Just awesome to turn my eyes to this particular product I must say!
Colour & Texture– This scrub is colored in light peach and its defoliating granules are orange in color. This is basically a cream based physical exfoliator with sparsely distributed exfoliating beads. The scrub lets are not very sharp and their amount is controlled as well. The chance of accidental scratches on the facial skin while scrubbing is scanty. Though the scrub-base is creamy, it does not leave the face oily after I wash it off from my face. The creamy texture gives enough slip to increase the functionality of the scrubbing particles.
Fragrance- This product smells like orange candies or orange based summer drinks like Rasna or Tango. The smell is not of bothering type. It is most unlikely to get headaches from it because the smell vanishes after cleansing the scrub from the face. I like fresh orange scents so I am enjoying this orange scrub a lot!
Experience- This is not a go-to scrub for me. I use this one for my weekly face cleanup along with its cleanser counterpart. I get very less sun exposure these days, so tanning problem has become inexistent. But, I have lots of red marks on my face from previous pimples. I bought this scrub to see if it can get rid of those marks. My skin type is oily-to-combination with frequent acne outbreaks.
I take a coin size product for my entire face and neck and give gentle circular rubs with wet hands to scrub off the dead cells and blackheads. The feel of it reminds me of the Neem scrub from the same brand. After 3-4 minutes I wash off the product from my face and cleanse my nose blackheads with a blackhead removing tool. This scrub washes away from the face quickly and does not make me waste too much water. It does not leave behind greasy residue like some other exfoliators from the same price range. This scrub does not feel enough to cleanse my blackheads alone (even the grittiest scrub fails in that task!) but it helps to get rid of blackheads with the tool quickly.
This scrub does not irritate my skin or cause new pimples. It has been able to bring an instant glow to the dull skin. It is not a miracle product for tan removal. It takes over one month of regular usage to show some visible changes in my pimple marks.

What kind of tool do you recommend using?
Blackhead removal is a bit painful and it irritates the skin as well. So, it is best to use dermatologist recommended topical ointments to prevent blackheads.
I personally use a steel blackhead remover with loop.
Is there any specific time when applying this works the best? Or just whenever I wish to?
The pack does not mention anything in this matter. But I always scrub my face in the evening or at night so that I do not have to expose my freshly scrubbed skin to the sun.
