My Experience with Livon Serum for Dry & Unruly Hair

Packaging

The serum comes in a clear plastic bottle with a flip-open cap. The original Livon serum had a pink theme color while this one has violet theme color for the packaging. The packaging is small and easy to carry. There is no spillage issue.

Colour & Texture

It is a transparent silicone-based dry oil. The consistency is medium considering other liquid hair serums available in the market. Though the formula is oily it dries into non-sticky form after application.

Fragrance

There is very faint lily kind of fragrance very similar to original Livon serum. The fragrance goes off in seconds.

Experience

I have naturally dry hair plus my hair has wavy texture. Frizziness in the front bangs has been my biggest hair styling issue of all the time. Most of the popular hair serums (original Livon, Streax etc.) are not that effective on those unruly baby hairs of mine. L’Oreal’s Total Repair 5 serum works best as it has a thick formula. This serum has the same kind of consistency and feels to the L’Oreal one. It works best if I apply it on slightly wet hair immediately after a shower. I rarely heat-style my hair(1-2 times a year at max). I have tried this serum for heat styling and it has given good results. Overall it’s a good hair serum for dry hair. It smoothes frizzes and gives a tidy look.

What do I like about this serum?
  1. Rich and nourishing hair serum for dry and frizzy hair
  2. Controls frizziness if applied on freshly washed damp hair
  3. Makes the hair smooth and increases shine
  4. Gives non-greasy finish
  5. Does not weigh down dry-damaged hair
  6. Go to a replacement for styling serum
  7. Available in various sizes
  8. Pocket-friendly
What I dislike about this serum?
  1. It’s not actually a con but I would have loved it more if it had good fragrance
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?

I would certainly repurchase as it works great on my dry and frizz-prone hair. Buy it if you have hair type like mine. It might weigh down normal or oily hair.
