MAC Half n Half Lipstick :Ladies, I’m back! It’s been close to two months since I’ve written about makeup. But now I’m back. And hopefully, back with a bang. So, once again, I’m going to be talking about a product I more than just love. A lipstick. And, it’s from a brand that does have some beautiful shades. Yes, it’s a MAC product. The lipstick is in the shade MAC Half n Half, which is a nude. This little piece of happiness has been with me ever since I’ve started my makeup journey.Half ‘n’ Half belongs to the Amplified range which means that it is super creamy, shiny and pigmented.
My experience with MAC Half n Half
As the brand claims, the shade has a very strong pigment and lasts for a good 4-5 hours. It most likely will stick by you through a whole meal. So bonus point for that! I’ve used it on a couple of clients and I love how gorgeous it looks with a bold eye. It goes extremely well with light to medium tones and might even work for a little darker tone. On some skin tones though, it may look a little washed out. When I need to work with darker skin tones, I mix it with another shade. What I love about this shade is that it has a peach undertone and adds a whole level of freshness to the lips. Since the texture has a lovely creaminess to it, it doesn’t crack or form fine lines, which a lot of other lipsticks do. Because of the creaminess, the application is very smooth and easy. Also, if you top it with a coat of gloss, it looks gorgeous. My suggestion though for this shade would be to use a lip liner or else the lips will not be well defined.
The packaging is the typical MAC thing that we’ve all seen. The bullet comes in a black casing with the branding and is packed in a black box-tube like packaging with all the necessary details about the product.
- Decently long lasting
- Creamy texture
- Works for light to medium tones
- Smooth Application
- Doesn’t work with all skin tones
Would I recommend and repurchase?
I’ll definitely recommend it for light to medium tones as it can work as a lovely day shade too. As for darker tones, maybe not. As for repurchasing, I’m not so sure. Although it’s a lovely colour, I probably will look for a shade that works on all tones. So ladies, let me know what you think of the Half ‘n’ Half. And also, I’d love to hear what your favorite nude shades are. So ahead and comment below!
