As a professional hairstylist, I’m always trying out different shampoo and conditioners and hair products in general. I do a lot of hair color services for clients and so products for color treated hair are always on my list. While some clients are completely okay with splurging on high-end hair products, not everyone can afford them. And so, of late, I’ve been recommending the Matrix Biolage ColorLast Orchid Conditioner for those on an extremely low budget.

My Experience with the Matrix Biolage ColorLast Orchid Conditioner
I purchased the Matrix Biolage ColorLast Orchid Conditioner a few months ago while on my experimenting spree. I was at my regular beauty store browsing through the hair products looking for affordable conditioners when the salesperson suggested I try the Matrix one. Initially, I was a little skeptical as to how good it would be. But after trying it out a couple of times, all my doubts were washed away. The packaging of the product is a regular white tube with a pink cap. The front has a floral design with the logo and the back has details about the product and ingredients. The opening of the bottle has a small dispenser which lets out just the right amount of product. The texture of the conditioner is extremely light, creamy and smooth. The consistency of the product is not too thick and not too runny, which is good. The application is smooth and glides on well on damp hair. The product has a lovely fragrance too it. It lasts for maybe an hour after washing the hair. It would have been nicer if the fragrance lasted for a little longer. While the brand mentions that it should be kept on for just 1-3 minutes, I suggest keeping it on for 5 minutes. It makes the hair nice and soft. However, if you are looking to get that gloss and shine in your hair after using it, this is not the one.
Overall Performance of Matrix Biolage ColorLast Orchid Conditioner
Positives
- Affordable
- Convenient Packaging
- Light, creamy texture
- Easy Application
- Nice fragrance
Negatives
- No shine
Would I recommend and repurchase the ColorLast Orchid Conditioner?
As for recommending, I’ve already started doing that. And for repurchasing, maybe. Like I mentioned above, I have to keep trying new products so maybe repurchasing wouldn’t happen.
