Whenever we read about hair care, invariably there is a mention of hair mask of some kind. Now I am a person who does not use hair conditioners. True story! This is because conditioners cause buildup in my scalp and cause dandruff. So I am literally very afraid to try anything from the conditioner family on a regular basis.
While on a recent visit to a mall, I entered the Body shop store out of habit 😛 Now this The Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter for Colored Hair was on 50% off, so I promptly picked it up.
Let’s see if it’s worth buying or not 🙂

My Experience with the Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter for Colored Hair:
This body butter comes in a tub packaging. I am not a fan of such packaging. But, since I have to use it only once a week, I make do with a spatula.
The texture of this hair butter is quite rich. Actually exactly like butter. The first time I applied it I used it on my scalp as well as the length of hair. The fragrance is a regular chemical perfume like. Once I washed the hair off, the hair felt softer. But the very same day, my scalp started itching. The softness of the hair was not out of the box. Something that ANY conditioner would do. On top of it, it caused build up. I made sure to wash the conditioner off with cold water, still no avail.
Bad experience with this product. I now apply it only on the length of the hair, but only so that I don’t want to simply throw the tub of product away.
Positives of the Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter for Colored Hair:
- Nothing great to rave about
Negatives of the Body Shop Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter for Colored Hair:
- Not value for money
- Did not suit my hair
- Caused build up
