This foundation has recently become the talk-of-the-town due to its “color-adapting” technology.

One of the major drawbacks that I find while buying a foundation online is getting the right color according to my skin tone. Let’s are honest, this is a humongous task and we all have been in that situation where we bought a shade which turned out to be a tad lighter or darker than the actual skin-tone. This is where nykaa comes to the rescue! With its color-adapting technology, it can easily blend into your skin and adapt to your skin-tone instantly. So even if you bought a wrong shade, worry not! You can get away with buying a shade lighter or darker.

Another great thing about this foundation is that it comes with hyaluronic acid, which is a magical ingredient for the skin. Furthermore, a considerable feature of this foundation is its “Polylift Technology” which sculpts as well as lifts the skin. The formula is also paraben free. My experience with Nykaa Skingenius Sculpting And Hydrating Foundation

Packaging:

The foundation comes in a sleek plastic bottle with a black colored screw open cap. The bottle works like a squeeze tube. One of the main reasons I prefer squeeze tubes is that you can easily control the amount of product coming out. The shade name and number are mentioned in the package. The package is very travel-friendly. Overall I have no issue with the packaging.

Appearance:

The foundation has a very runny consistency and its neither to liquidy nor too thick. It has a mild smell which doesn’t last for more than a minute. As mentioned above, the shade is suitable for light-medium or medium skin-tone.

Experience :

The foundation is easy to blend due to its semi-liquid consistency. It gives a dewy finish which I love because I like a little glow on the face as opposed to complete the matte look. It feels very lightweight on the skin. It is perfect for normal to dry skin types. For all the oily-skin beauties, you might have to use a setting powder, especially along the T-zone.

The foundation has a sheer to medium coverage. It gives a nice even-tone to the skin. However, it would only cover up the lighter skin marks and not the darker ones.  If you are looking for a heavy-coverage foundation, this is not the one for you. It gives a very natural finish to the skin and provides a glow and even out the skin.

Moving onto its much hyped about color-adapting technology, I would say if you did end up buying a shade lighter or darker to your skin-tone, you would have to wait for 5-10 mins for the foundation to completely adapt to your skin.

It doesn’t cling onto the dry patches. I’ve been using this foundation for two weeks now and it stays on my combination skin for a good 6-7 hours without wearing off.
