Pond’s Mositurising Cold Cream Review

Winters and cold creams…..can we ever think of a better symbiotic relationship?

With winters, we are to face dry and flaky skin. Now, why are cold creams considered the best skin remedy during winters and how are they different from the regular moisturizers? Well, here is a very simple reason: during winters, our skin becomes extremely dry not only because of the external environment but because of the fact that our oil glands do not produce so many oils. So our skin is unable to nourish itself. This is where cold creams come in; they are oil based and extremely nourishing. This is the reason why most cold creams are super thick and make your skin look oily within a few minutes.

Cold creams can also take a bit more time to get absorbed since you need to keep massaging them into the skin.

So, I know that most of you have used the ponds moisturizing cold cream and I am no exception. However, I do have oily skin so I had to think of multiple ways to use this Pond’s Moisturising Cold Cream.

My Experience With The Ponds Moisturising Cold Cream

You must have seen the packaging of this cold cream since they have not changed it much over the years. You can get it in different sizes and it is easily available.

It has a very pleasant and lingering fragrance.

The consistency of this cold cream is very thick. You can see that in the swatch as well. It is not very creamy and you need to take your time in order to massage it into the skin.

I do not use it on my face because this cream is very oily. But this makes it perfect for the body. You can use it on your elbows, knees, and other dry areas.

I make a body scrub out of it as well. All you need to do is mix 2 tablespoons of this cold cream with 1 tablespoon of coffee grounds and one tablespoon of coconut oil. Do not use instant coffee for this. This is the easiest scrub you can prepare and it will do wonders for your skin while exfoliating it as well!

Another way, I use it is to remove makeup. I just rub it all over my face like a balm and then wipe off the makeup using cotton balls (you can do this with many different moisturizers!).
