Who is it for? The Body Shop Born Lippy Satsuma Shimmer is for those looking for shimmer lip balm.
How to use
My experience with The Body Shop Born Lippy Satsuma Shimmer
It comes in a very cute tub like structure and the lid can be opened to reveal the product, which can be swiped on the lips using bare hands, which increases the chances of contamination.
It smells as if fresh oranges have been processed to extract orange oil which is absolutely divine and refreshing.
I love products that smell good, so I was attracted to the fragrance of the lip shimmer. I was told that it will add sparkle to my lips thereby making them appear fuller and glossier. I was very impressed with this and purchased the lip balm. I was actually happy with it owing to the record of bad experiences I have had with body shop lip butter. This product does what it claims. It imparts a little bit of sheen to the lips and has an amazing smell. The fragrance is really very refreshing and invigorating. It doesn’t really do anything like moisturizing the lips or hydrating them. Also, if this product is used for a long time, it attracts dirt. I like this lip shimmer only because of its fragrance; otherwise, I wouldn’t really be using it. Also, it’s not worth the price and doesn’t really have distinguishable shimmery particles after application on the lips.
- Cute packaging
- Great fragrance
- Not sticky
- Doesn’t moisturize
- Attracts dirt even though it is not sticky
- Sometimes chaps my lips
- Doesn’t impart any shine as such
Would I repurchase or recommend?
No. I won’t repurchase this product since there is much product in the market which gives a shine to the lips without costing this much. I would only recommend it to people who love products that have a fragrance associated with it. When I use this lip shimmer under any lipstick which is also shimmery, it doesn’t really help pop out the color of the lipsticks better. I would give this Satsuma shimmer lippy a 2/5 owing to its pros and cons.
