My Experience with Wet n Wild Mega Protein Waterproof Mascara

Packaging-

The mascara comes in a green tube which is quite bright and quirky. I love this bright green color especially because it makes finding the mascara easier in the makeup pouch.  The wand is of perfect length and easy to hold. The applicator part is of fine quality and applies the perfect amount of product onto the lashes.

Colour and Texture-

The mascara is jet black justifying its shade name (very black). It has a smooth texture, perfect consistency to be applied at one go. It also spreads evenly on the eyelashes, thanks to the applicator.

Fragrance-

No fragrance at all

My Experience-

I find this mascara to be good, not the best in the market at this price point. The application is smooth and it coats my eyelashes evenly. The mascara on the eyelashes is totally visible to the naked eye. It does add to the volume and also to some extent has a lengthening effect going on. I did not observe any miraculous conditioning of my eyelashes as the brand claims but it does work perfectly. It says that it’s waterproof, but it’s not completely. If you happen to rub your eyes, or you end up crying, the mascara does smudge. On removal, it also sometimes smudges and creates panda eyes 😛  I appreciate the fact that the brand is cruelty-free and the mascara is parabens free but the presence of Acai oil and D- Panthenol doesn’t show much of a difference on continuous usage.

4. Doesn’t dry immediately, takes around 1 minute to dry

Would I recommend or repurchase the product?

I will recommend this product if you want to try an affordable mascara that works. Do not buy this with the expectation that this is going to be waterproof because it is not. It is decent mascara in the Indian market, nothing exceptional. I really appreciate the fact that the company is cruelty-free and mascara is parabens free. The mascara does the basic job of adding volume and lengthening the lashes but it doesn’t condition or make them thicker with time. I would say that there are multiple options available in India at this price range, make your choice wisely.
