But my perception changed after I found out a few shades of lipsticks which are dark but are well suited for everyday usage. Yes, such shades do exist. Wet n wild satin finish lipsticks recently launched in India, and this brand is considered to be one of the best drugstore brands in the USA. The lipstick shade “dark wine” is a maroon-ish shade that can be used by people of any skin tone on any occasion since it won’t look too blinding. Application of a lip liner prior to the application of this lipstick will help the shade look better and help it stay a little longer. Wet n wild believes in manufacturing high quality, yet affordable makeup products which can reach out to all the people. They don’t test their products on animals. They claim to have the same ingredient list as that of other high-end luxury brands and to add, they have other moisturizing ingredients in their products as well. They also guarantee that we, after using the product, will declare it to be the best brand of life.

My Experience With Wet N Wild Silk Finish Lipstick Dark Wine

Packaging

The packaging is just fine. The cap is transparent and “wet n wild” is written in white. The twist bottom is black in color and at the back of this black container, the name and shade of the color “dark wine” is specified.

Texture

It has a smooth, creamy texture which glides easily on the lips. The color is a beautiful maroon red that I love.

How to use

Open the cap and twist the bottom to reveal the lipstick. Start with the inner corner of your mouth and apply it outwards and fill in where required. A lip liner prior to the lipstick is recommended

Fragrance

It smells like scented candles, nothing fancy. The smell stays for a maximum of 20 minutes after the application of the lipstick, so I don’t mind the fragrance

My experience

This was one among the set of lipsticks that I purchased when wet n wild launched in India, exclusively on nykaa. This shade is a pretty maroon red kind of shade, that would suit every kind of skin tone and the best part is that this can be used for any occasion. This shade is not too dark, which makes it ideal for daily wear as well. I loved this lipstick for many reasons. One of them was because it covered my pigmented lips perfectly and kept my lips moisturized and hydrated throughout. Also, probably since this a darker shade, it stayed for a good 4 to 5 hours after light snacks and drinks. It did fade to a certain extent but overall, the color payoff was impressive. It didn’t feather out or bleed. It did transfer a little though, which is ok since this is an extremely affordable lipstick.

Yes, I recommend this to people who love dark shades of lipsticks. I absolutely loved the shade and this shade stayed on a good 4 hours on me even after light meals without feathering. It makes it an ideal product for me. Also, it is extremely affordable. I will repurchase shades similar to this from this range. This shade can also be used as an eyeshadow. Happy shopping people.
