A few months ago Yardley launched the ‘no gas’ version of their body fragrances. I am a lover for such mist type body sprays because they feel really light and they are not harmful like their gas spray counterparts. While talking about Yardley the name that first comes to my mind is ‘lavender’. This calming ‘lavender’ fragrance from Yardley has been a personal favorite for long now. I have made my share of repurchases of that particular product like crazy. This time I decided to give this mist version a try. My Experience with Yardley London English Lavender Eau De Toilette Body Spray
Packaging- This fragrance mist comes in a cylindrical metallic bottle with spray nozzle. The bottle is not see-through like Layer’r body mists so, you can’t really tell how much product is left in the bottle. The perfume cylinder comes packed in a stylish cardboard box with nice lavender color label graphics. Both the outer packaging and the bottle mention all information and claims. The packaging is sturdy, spill-safe, ergonomic and travel-friendly.
Fragrance-This body spray has pure lavender fragrance. The fragrance is sweet yet energizing. I don’t think the brand has used any other fragrance notes to it and even if they have used any other fragrance it is just to bring out the lavender fragrance more. When I first apply the fragrance lavender’s top notes make their announcements. After 2-3 minutes, the top notes go off and the fragrance settles into a calming sweet lavender note. It does control body odor and most importantly, its notes do not adapt to the body odor to change into an intolerable fragrance. This kind of fragrance never bothers even the most sensitive nosed people. If someone does not find it likable, she may finish her bottle without ‘headache’ experiences!
Staying Power- This is the department in which this fragrance lacks a bit. This fragrance mist stays on for maximum 3 hours for me. If I apply it on clothes, the lasting power increases to 4 hours but not more. To smell good all day, I need 1-2 reapplications. With that much reapplications, my spray bottle does not last very long. So, I have to use other fragrances in alternation to make things economical for me.
Overall Performance of Yardley London English Lavender Eau De Toilette Body Spray
It becomes really hard for me to discuss the performance of Yardley London English Lavender Eau De Toilette Body Spray neutrally because of my extreme soft-corner for its fragrance. I feel this is my signature fragrance. Pure fragrance or fragrances with less perfume blending attract me more. This Lavender fragrance has a purity and calmness to it; I am a great fan for such elegance in a scent. If this one could come out of a few drawbacks like it’s not-so-good staying power I would have given it a 5 out of 5 rating.

Yardley London English Lavender Eau De Toilette Body Spray has a most calming pure lavender fragrance. I absolutely love this freshening fragrance. I have made at least 4 repurchases in the last 3 years and have a plan to make many more repurchases! I will recommend this body spray to anyone who loves light feminine lavender fragrances.
