My experience with All Natural Sunscreen: Kama Ayurveda Natural Sun Protection

Kama Ayurveda sunscreen is a natural sun protectant claimed by the company containing 99.3% of the natural content. The amount of SPF may seem less but for the Indian climate and sun exposure, it’s just perfect to use. It not about high SPF but about the correct amount in the product.

This sun protectant is gentle non-chemical daily-use sunscreen blended with nutmeg that has anti-inflammatory properties that provide full-spectrum sun protection and a boost of hydration to keep skin healthy and even-toned. As claimed by the company it is not suitable for acne-prone skin but suits all other types.

I apply a layer of moisturizer and then the sunscreen in a tap motion. We should always dab and not rub the sunscreen; it should be layered in terms of protecting the skin. It forms a white cast after application but disappears after some time. It should be applied 15 minutes before sun exposure.

The sunscreen comes in a yellow black tube, perfect to be carried around in a bag. The product contains Zinc Oxide, which is a natural occurring mineral and one of the safest skin-protecting ingredients against the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) rays. It filters out both UVA and UVB rays, thus forming a shield that keeps UV radiation from penetrating the skin and causing cell damage. With Anti-microbial properties, Non-Nano Zinc Oxide is non-toxic, non-comedogenic and is one of the few sun care ingredients that are safe to use.

The consistency of the product is perfect to apply and blends into the skin very well. It leaves the skin lightly refreshingly scented because of the content of natural ingredients.

Olay Moisturizing Lotion 2

Today I will be reviewing Olay Moisturizing Lotion, which is very good for normal to oily skin beauties during winter. Olay is one of my favorite brands and I have bought this product a lot of times and thought of reviewing it today.

Olay Moisturizing Lotion

Basic info of Olay Moisturizing Lotion

Rs 210 for 75 ml.

Product Description:

  • An intensely hydrating facial lotion.
  • Features a lightweight, non-greasy formula.
  • Provides an instant boost of active moisture to soothe dry skin.
  • Reduces the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles.
  • Skin appears softer, smoother & younger looking.

My experience with Olay Moisturizing Lotion

During winters my skin starts feeling a bit dry even if my skin is oily, so I wanted to go for a product, which would moisturize but not make oily and this is the exact product I am talking about. Olay is a really famous brand known as oil of Olay and has a good range of products.

This moisturizing lotion does what it claims i.e. Olay moisturizing lotion replenishes skin. This lotion is formulated with ingredients to help restore and maintain firm youthful looking skin. Its formula contains fluids so similar to the natural fluids in young skin that skin readily claims as its own.

Olay Moisturizing Lotion has been shown significantly to boost skin hydration, increase skin suppleness and firmness, and improve skin smoothness. Yes, it does all of it with regular application. It has made my skin really soft and smooth. It is a non-greasy formula, which nourishes skin and makes you feel good.

I usually apply it when I stay home or at night because there is no content of SPF in the product. I also apply it before my makeup to moisturize and then follow my regime.

It comes in a white translucent matte finished bottle with a black cap. The texture is semi-liquid and baby pink in color (✿◠‿◠). It has a mild floral scent, which is delightful.

Would I recommend?

I would definitely buy it again after running out and would recommend to everyone facing winter dryness to give it a try; it restores skin hydration to soothe dryness leaving skin soft, supple and smooth.

HUDA Beauty Icon Liquid Matte Lipstick Review 3

My experience with HUDA Beauty Icon Liquid Matte Lipstick

The shade Icon By HUDA Beauty is a matte lipstick so I usually exfoliate my lips to get all the dead skin off and hydrate well before applying it, as you don’t want your lips to flack after application. It goes on like a gloss but dries to a matte. It takes 10-15 sec. to settle down like matte. It sets in smooth, does not flake, transfer or smudge. It is a waterproof formula. It smells a bit like coconut to me, which I like.

It comes in a clear frosted glass like a bottle with a soft wand to apply the product. It’s pretty and simple. The wand helps reach out all corners and easy application.

The product is a bit runny but well pigmented and opaque. There are no issues applying even because of runny texture. The shade looks different depending on the skin tone. It darkens a bit after application. It is a classic peach pink in color.

The overall performance of HUDA Beauty Icon Liquid Matte Lipstick

Pros:
  1. Matte finish
  2. Long lasting
  3. Does not transfer
  4. Well pigmented
  5. Opaque
  6. Pretty packing
  7. Good applicator
  8. Nice fragrance
  9. No Parabens
Cons:
  1. Runny formula
  2. Feels dry after some time
Would I recommend HUDA Beauty Icon Liquid Matte Lipstick

I like the shade Icon and would recommend this product and try on more shades available. It just needs more hydration, which we can give by applying a lip balm under it.

  3. Apply a thin layer of Liquid Matte in the corresponding or lighter shade to fill in the rest.
  4. Allow approximately 30 seconds for the color to set and intensify to an opaque finish. Color appearance may vary based on skin tone.

My experience with HUDA Beauty Spice Girl Liquid Matte Lipstick

I love having a collection of different shades to mix and match, so I tend to buy lipsticks of all kind to try on contouring shaping etc. Spice Girl by HUDA Beauty is a liquid matte lipstick and the brand has a cosmic range in the matte collection. The shade is an iconic 90s brown.

The company claims to have hydrating ingredients like beeswax and olive oil, no doubt the product glides on the lips really smooth but starts feeling dry after some time. I usually nourish my lips with lip balm before applying.

The effect the lipstick gives after putting it on is amazing. It gives a solid matte finish; the formula is well pigmented and intense. There are good results with one swipe but depends if you want it darker you can go for a second one.

The lasting power is also superb; it lasts for around 5 hours even after meals. The lipstick has a soft vanilla aroma, which is really nice. The packing of the product is really pretty and different. I look like frosted glass but is made of acrylic with a black head. We can see the shade of the body but in frosted form.

Chambor Silver Shadow Compact Review 5

My experience with Chambor Silver Shadow Compact

We usually use a setting or finishing powder to set our foundation but even compacts are really helpful. In daily use I feel carrying a compact is easier than a face powder, which is a bit bulky, and not very travel-friendly. Compacts come in cake form, which makes it more travel-friendly.

I use the product on daily basis to buff over as I have oily skin and it needs blotting. This even keeps my makeup intact and gives this slight shine, which it needs. The shade I use from the Chambor Silver Shadow compact range is RR2, which is a Rose pale. I am using this for quite some time and keep replacing the pan with a new one. The refill packs are available.

It comes in a dark blue triangular shaped compact casing. There is a mirror inside which helps to apply the product when out. The shade is written on the bottom of the case.

It has a tiny hole, which helps to replace the pan time to time with the help of a pin.

The texture of the product is smooth and soft. It comes in compressed powder form, which is easy to carry and use as well. It comes with a puff but I lost mine. I use a brush to go over my face and it gives a smooth finish with a sheen look. I absolutely love the feel of it. It needs a touch up every 4-5 hours, as my skin is oily.

  • Good coverage
  • Leaves no residue behind
  • Controls oil
  • Decent stay power
  • Travel-Friendly
  • Available

Cons:

  • No SPF
  • Limited shades available

Would I recommend?

Overall I like the product. I like the texture and the finish it gives so I would recommend it to all who find their shade in this range.

L’Oreal Hair Spa Smoothing Cream bath Review

Who is it for? L’Oreal Hair Spa Smoothing Cream Bath is for Providing nutrition to hair by massaging and penetrating all the vitamins and minerals rejuvenating the hair giving shine and making it healthy.

L’Oreal Hair Spa Smoothing Cream bath Review

Price:

Rs. 600 for 490g.

Hair Type:

Dry damaged hair

How to use:

Blend a generous amount of the smoothing cream bath with the corresponding scalp concentrate. Apply the blend to shampooed, towel-dried hair. Distribute evenly and massage thoroughly into hair and scalp for 20 minutes. Comb and leave for 10 minutes using a steamer or warm towel.

My experience with L’Oreal Hair Spa Smoothening Cream bath

L’Oreal smoothening cream bath is a boon to my hair. I use a lot of heat on my hair as I love curling my hair up. People having straight hair always want their hair curled up and vice versa. So my hair tends to dry up due to loss of moisture because of heat.

Hair spa is such a treatment wherein it gives life to my hair and shine too. But affording a hair spa every week is out of the question. I decided to do it myself and was recommended to use it. So whenever I feel my hair needs some pampering I use this hair masque and it does wonders.

I use it as per instructions except for mixing it with scalp concentrates (which is ok). Apply it on dry hair as the minerals only get absorbed then and not in wet hair.

Massage for a few minutes and steam with a hot towel for 10 minutes and wash it off. This actually moisturizes and nourishes the hair well. Makes it manageable and smooth.

The cream bath is thick and creamy in texture and white in color. I love the mild fragrance of the product. I cannot define it but it does not bother at all during and after the application. It comes in an aqua blue tub with a silver screw cap making it easy to use.

The mixture is enriched with Water Lily, glycerin-smoothing actives, hydrating cationic agents and purified water. As claimed by the company the Smoothing Creambath helps to control volume while moisturizing rebellious hair. Through massage, the hair is left silky, soft, hydrated, easy to manage, and shiny. Whatever the company claims it does and I love it.  L’Oreal Hair Spa Smoothing Cream bath Review 2

Pros:

  1. Creamy texture
  2. Pleasing essence
  3. Nourishes the hair
  4. Smooth effect
  5. Fizz free hair
  6. Affordable
  7. Available

Cons:

  1. None

Would I recommend it?

I would unquestionably recommend to everyone and I will surely purchase this product again, as it is really hard to find products that actually suit you. This really nourishes my hair and the hair spa at home is such a money saver and does not take long either.

Matrix Opti Care Smooth Straight Professional Ultra Smoothing Shampoo 3

Today I am reviewing Matrix Opti Care Smooth Straight Professional Ultra Smoothing Shampoo for chemically treated hair. Though I do not have chemically treated hair I bought it keep my hair smooth and straight.

Matrix Opti Care Smooth Straight Professional Ultra Smoothing Shampoo 3

Price:

Rs. 300 for 200ml.

How to use:

Coat wet hair with a liberal amount of shampoo. Gently massage the scalp and roots with your fingertips to work into a lather. Lightly squeeze the shampoo from roots to ends. Leave on the scalp for 2-3 minutes with gentle massaging to enable Shampoo extract to reach and fully act on the scalp and roots. Rinse thoroughly until all the shampoo is fully washed off.

My experience with Matrix Opti Care Smooth Straight Professional Ultra Smoothing Shampoo

I love experimenting with products and this is the reason I bought them. I wanted more straight hair so thought of trying this. After using this product which is Matrix Opti care professional ultra smoothening shampoo no doubt gave a smooth feel to my hair and calmed down the fizziness a bit but increased the amount of hair fall.

It did not really straighten my hair as expected. The shampoo comes in a plastic orange round bottle with a flip top to dispense the product. The liquid is creamy in texture, white in color, and has a mild fragrance. It has very sturdy packing so it is travel-friendly and not prone to leakage.

Matrix Opti Care Smooth Straight Professional Ultra Smoothing Shampoo

Pros:
  1. Cleanses well
  2. Mild fragrance
  3. Smooth feel
  4. Tames fizziness
  5. Available
  6. Travel Friendly
Cons:
  1. Causes hair fall
  2. Contains a lot of chemicals
  3. Does not lather much

Would I recommend it?

I would only recommend it for chemically treated hair and not for normal use as it did not really help me out and gave bad results.

Bello Photostable Sunscreen Gel

Let’s talk about Bello Photostable Sunscreen Gel today! The best and the most satisfactory sunscreen used till date by me. I have used so many different types of sunscreen with several SPF, UVA+UVB, waterproof etc.I am a sunscreen fanatic because I tend to get tanned very easily and who do not want to protect their skin today from tanning, sunburns, pigmentation and premature aging. It also maintains original skin color and texture. We also think that higher the SPF more the protection but that’s a myth. An average amount of SPF works just perfect to give good protection, as higher SPF can be harsh to the skin. There are harmful rays present everywhere outside as well as inside the house. The lights we use inside our house emits a lot of rays which can harm the skin. So we should apply a thin layer of sunscreen even if we are not stepping out of our house.

Bello Photostable Sunscreen Gel

Price:

Rs. 466 for 75 g

Form:

Gel-Based

Sun Protection Factor:

40+

Skin Type:

This can be used by all skin types.

How to apply:
  1. Almond size product is sufficient for the face.
  2. Apply 15 minutes before stepping out in the sun.
  3. Reapply after every three hours.

My experience with Bello Photostable Sunscreen Gel

Photostable Sunscreen gel just works perfectly for me because its gel based and I have oily skin. Oily skin needs a gel-based formula as other bases make it sticky and messy. I have been using it for 5 years and I am really happy with the product.

The sunscreen comes in a tube packing easy to use and travel-friendly. The gel inside is white in color and blends in the skin smoothly. It is non-greasy, odorless, waterproof and enriched with antioxidants. It is even perfect for acne prone skin, does not cause any irritation or clog pores.

I use the sunscreen every day, even under my makeup instead of a moisturizer. This is a must-have product in my kit.

Bello Photostable Sunscreen Gel 3

Pros:
  1. Gel-based
  2. Non-sticky
