What could be a better way than inviting the summers with a bright and playful lip color? The Body Shop  Matte Lip Liquid has about 12 shades including a shade that just screams summer. The lip color goes by the name of ‘Goa Magnolia’ and is in the number 026. The shade is named after the flower ‘Magnolia’ found in Goa. It is a nice berry pink that instantly adds so much vibrancy to your outfit!

As the name of the product suggests, the lipstick is of the liquid formula and gives a matte finish. The color is rich and opaque. The brand claims that the lipstick is formulated to glide on the lips effortlessly like a lip gloss. The lipstick sets with a rich creamy velvety finish.  It is long lasting, lightweight and feels lusciously soft on the lips. The consistency of the lipstick is mousse-like, making it very easy to apply.
The product has a very sleek and strategic packaging. The lid is a black matte velvet color and the lower part is color-coded according to the lipstick shade which follows good ergonomics. It has a wand applicator attached to the lid. The wand is very well designed and allows the easy and accurate application. The product also has a mellow fragrance.

The Body Shop is known for its cruelty-free and 100% vegetarian products which are an added advantage. Other perks of the lipstick are that it is gluten-free and contains no carmine. So this product is a good buy even for the vegetarians and vegans out there!

My Experience With The Body Shop  Lipstick Goa Magnolia

Deep pinks have always been my preference for lip shades.I also like opaque and rich lip colors so I instantly fell for the Goa Magnolia shade!  With my second piece of the same lipstick, it is obvious that I am in love with this lipstick! The Body Shop Matte Lip Liquid was the first ever liquid lipstick that I owned. The vibrant color instantly compelled me to use it and even buy another piece myself.

The lipstick has a very mousse-like texture making it easy to spread on the lips. It takes about 5 minutes for the lipstick to dry and it is smudge free. The final look is a very soft powdery velvet finish. Unlike other liquid lipsticks, it is lightweight and does not make you feel that you have acrylic paint on your lips!

The lipstick is water resistant and lasts as long as you eat. Sadly, the color fades away after eating but does not disappear completely. A slight tint of the shade is left back on the lips. The lipstick can be easily removed either by using a makeup remover or coconut oil. I prefer coconut oil as it also moisturizes and nourishes your lips. Well moisturized and nourished lips are a secret of pulling off any lipstick with ease. It also prevents the lipstick from cracking.

Barring the amazing consistency and color, what I like most about this product is its pricing. It is comparatively cheaper than other products of the same brand and thus has a very affordable price. I think this makes the lipstick a total winner. I also like its mellow fragrance.

What I also feel that this shade suits and accentuates warmer skin tones than cool tones. The berry pink brings out the warmth and glow of warmer skin tones.

Thus, this product is a complete winner for me and I would surely get the third piece!
