My Experience with Estee Lauder DayWear Matte Oil-Control Anti-Oxidant Moisture Gel Crème:
Packaging:
This crème comes in a translucent jar/tub with a golden twist to open cap. The jar appears blue on the outside because of the color of the crème. The jar is pretty heavy and bulky and wouldn’t recommend it for traveling purpose. Not a big fan of such open to use tubs/jars as they expose the entire product and aren’t particularly hygienic.
Fragrance:
It has an extremely mild fragrance which goes away within seconds of application. The fragrance feels like that of fresh cucumbers to me.
Colour and consistency:
The crème is almost white in color with a little hint of blue. The texture is smooth but not exactly creamy. It is like a foamy gel and is very light. The application is easy as it spreads easily over the skin.
My Experience:
I have been using this crème for more than a week now and on daily basis. I would begin by saying that it is very light on the skin and gives a fresh feel to the face. It gets absorbed into the skin instantly without leaving any traces of oil or shines behind. The fragrance is mild and fresh.
However, the claim that it controls oil and shine all day long isn’t really true. I have extremely oily and acne prone skin and it could control oil on my skin for 3-4 hours at the max. However, I loved the fact that I did not experience breakouts after using this. When applied, it soothes the skin and acne, if any. So that is a major plus for me.
It has an anti-oxidant complex to fight free radical damage but doesn’t contain SPF which is a letdown at this cost.
What did I like:
- Very light on the skin.
- Doesn’t leave behind oiliness or shine.
- Contains Anti-oxidants.
- Mild Fragrance.
- Does not lead to skin breakouts.
What I did not like:
- Expensive
- Does not control oil whole day like claimed.
- No SPF.
- Bulky packaging.
Would I Repurchase or Recommend?
Honestly, I have mixed feelings if I should repurchase it because it is pretty expensive and there are similar products from luxe brands available with SPF. I would like to try them and if none of them work out for me then I may buy this again because I loved the fact that I did not cause acne.
Rating:
4/5.

I guess not buying this is a miss..seems to be average one
Loved your honest review shivani ❤️
Well wudnt say it is a miss because for oily skin like mine 3-4 hours oil control is also a big challenge ? and that too without breakouts. Yes but at this cost it could be better.
Thanks for sharing such a detailed review???
Can you suggest an affordable dupe of this cream?
Well like I said this controls oil without breakouts which is a rarity for me. This is expensive for sure but I havent yet come across any other product with similar performance yet.
