Uses of Hibiscus Flower and Leaves

  1. Hibiscus and Mehendi


  • 2-3 hibiscus flowers
  • 2 tbs mehndi powder
  • 4-5 hibiscus leaves
  • ½ lemon

Grind the leaves and flowers along with the mehendi powder. Add ½ lemon juice. Mix well and apply on your scalp and hair. Let it set for 1 hour. Rinse with a mild shampoo.

  1. Hibiscus Hair Oil


  • 1 Hibiscus flower and a few leaves
  • 4tbs Coconut Oil

Grind the flower and leaves and make a paste. Add heated coconut oil to and stir well. Heat again for another 2-3 minutes and apply on your scalp and hair. Massage well and let it stay for 30-45 minutes. Rinse of your hair with mild or herbal shampoo.

You can use this store-bought Dove oil too!

  1. Aloe Vera and Hibiscus


  • 4tbs Aloe Vera gel
  • 2-3 Hibiscus flowers

Mix well all the ingredients and make a paste. Apply it on your hair and scalp and let it stay for 45mins to 1 hour. Do not directly use shampoo; wash off with water and then wash your hair after 15 minutes.

  1. Hibiscus Shampoo


  • Hibiscus leaves
  • Hibiscus flowers
  • Water
  • Reetha powder
  • 1tbs gram flour

Boil hibiscus flowers and leaves in a pan with 1 cup water. Add 1tbs reetha powder to it. Let it boil for 5 minutes. Later, let it cool down at room temperature. Add 1tbs gram flour to it. Use this mixture now as your shampoo. Reetha will allow the mixture to lather up.

  1. Neem and Hibiscus


Take all the ingredients and grind them to form a smooth paste. Apply the paste evenly on your scalp and hair and leave for 25-30 minutes. Wash your hair with water.
