Lakme Blush and Glow Face Scrub Review

Lakme Blush and Glow Face Scrub: A good quality facial scrub is extremely essential to get rid of dullness and dead cells. When you have layers and layers of dead cells on the surface of your skin, even the most expensive makeup items fail to give you the flawless finish. Other than that, the skin becomes prone to flakiness as moisturizers cannot reach to the living cells of the skin. Lakme’s Blush & Glow skincare range is one of my favorite ranges in the affordable arena. All the products I have tried from this range have given me good results. So, this time I ventured on Lakme Blush & Glow Face Scrub. Here is how this scrub fares on me.

My Experience with Lakme Blush and Glow Face Scrub

Packaging- This scrub comes in a vibrant red tube with a screw cap of white color. The squeeze tube has no label graphics; everything is presented in a written manner. Still, the packaging looks quite attractive due to its color and matte finish. I tend to lose screw caps so flip open mechanism is what I like. As the packaging is very sturdy and travel-friendly, I am happy in spite of its dispensing mechanism. Full ingredient list is provided in the packaging which adds some more kudos to this scrub.

Colour & Texture- This exfoliator has an off-white creamy base and the scrubbing beads are reddish brown. The medium size defoliating granules are not at all scratchy yet they provide good exfoliation to the skin. The cream base helps to the product to glide on the skin very easily so that the skin does not get hurt. I think this scrub will work great for every skin type except for the sensitive skin.

Fragrance- This scrub has a light floral scent. The fragrance has some similarities to the Strawberry Face wash from Lakme’s Blush & Glow range. If you have used this facial cleanser you will have an idea of how this exfoliator smells. Just a little hint of that smell remains after removing the scrub. Even if you despise the fragrance, you can use this.

Experience- I have quite a bit of blackhead on my face (especially the nose region and chin). The medium gritty face scrubs fare me well. This exfoliator comes under my criterion and that is why I invested upon it. I generally scrub my face with it once a week. I first wash my face with face wash and then exfoliate my face with wet hands. I never rub one place more than 4 seconds to avoid redness or irritation afterward. This scrub performs well for my face. It removes the dullness and makes my face smoother. It helps to unclog the facial pores that in turn prevent new pimples. When I have acne on my face I never use this; its scrub particles may worsen a pimple. This Lakme scrub takes care of my blackheads to a certain extent. The rest I have to remove with a black head remover tool. I have used lots of face scrubs in the past and this face scrub has been able to secure a place in my good book after St. Ives and Lotus Apricot Scrub.

I bought this one last month and used it. But My skin is so sensitive and i got breakouts ?? but this same product worked wonders on my sister’s skin. So, i don’t recommend it to the people with sensitive skin. By the way… great review ❤

Thanks for sharing your experience Julie :love
I also have a similar view of this product. I also think this product is not for sensitive skinned people or someone who has active acne. It may irritate the skin condition further. That is why I never use this scrub when I am having acne bouts. But for the other time this is a good one as it exfoliates very well..

I have heard some great stuff about this product! I used it a couple of times and found it to be a good standard strong scrub. You are right about it not being for sensitive skin :haanji

Yes, this is a standard scrub with medium granules. It is quite similar to Lotus Apriscrub and St. Ives Fresh Skin Scrub. This type of scrub is not at all good for sensitive skin…
