I am here to review one of my favorite product The Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser by LUSH. LUSH is a UK based company producing and selling fresh handmade products. It’s one of my favorite stores because the aroma is so good that it can attract you from quite far off distance. Entering it feels like Heaven on Earth.

It has an amazing range of products, Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser is one of them. I barged into the store coz of the amazing smell and also I was looking around for a product to reduce my pimples but when I asked for a product for acne the sales girl had advised me that they had products that could purify skin and not necessarily reduce or remove pimples. Lush Dark Angels Face And Body Cleanser was given to me for purifying my skin and I feel it does justify it.

Product Description:

Black sugar and charcoal exfoliate and absorbs excess oils to leave dull, oily or acne-prone skin feeling fresh and matte. Even oily skin can be sensitive, so we’ve made this one soft and soothing to calm redness and irritation, too. Its rhassoul mud base deeply cleanses to help prevent breakouts, while vitamin-rich cold pressed organic avocado oil nourishes skin to leave it soft and lightly hydrated. Use all over for perfectly smooth, bright skin. An angel indeed!

How to use the product?

Take a piece of cleanser in the palm, add a little water & mix into a paste. Massage into the skin before rinsing off with warm water.

My experience with Lush Dark Angels Face And Body Cleanser

 

Activated Charcoal for oily skin beauties is a blessing, which is the main ingredient of this product. I preferred picking up a product from LUSH as it is made with fresh and natural ingredients.

I have been using it for almost 2 months and now I am in love with the product and the brand. The Dark Angels Cleanser exfoliates and cleanses smoothly but leaves behind a black residue even after washing it away. I exfoliate my face once or twice in a week so I do not use this product regularly. After washing my face with the cleanser I use a toner to wipe my face to remove the black stains it leaves behind. So as per my usage of the product, I find the product perfect because as an exfoliator it’s amazing, dries up the oily parts of my skin making it a lot smoother, the pores on my nose get unclogged as it cleanses it deep bringing the impurities to the surface.

I have oily skin so I feel very fresh after using it and the product as per me smells really nice. You do look like a ghost when working with the product but worth it.

The consistency of the product is very thick and chunky as it does not contain any liquid inside the pack but it’s also a bit oily as it contains a lot of essential oils defined in the ingredients.

The product comes in a black pot, which I like but makes it’s messy to use as we have to put our hand inside to take out the product and the water then goes in.

Lush has a great range of products, this is a good one but I would love to try others too.

My Recommendation:

I recommend this cleanser for oily and acne prone skin, not for dry and sensitive skin people.
