What does the Brand Claim about Mario Badescu Drying Lotion?

The Drying Lotion is a fast acting, effective acne spot treatment. Formulated with salicylic acid, calamine and other quick-drying ingredients, this product will shrink ugly whiteheads virtually overnight while you sleep. While other acne spot treatments can irritate and dry delicate or sensitive skin, this product is safe and effective for all skin types.

How to Use:

Before bed (after cleansing, toning, and moisturizing) dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Apply a dab of this lotion directly on the whitehead. Do not rub in. Let it dry and rinse off in the morning. DO NOT shake the bottle; if contents get shaken during packing and delivery, place the bottle on a flat surface until the layers separate and the pink sediment rests on the bottom.

My Experience with the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

This lotion comes in a glass jar and is not ravel friendly as such. It has layers as you can see in the pic below. The bottle should be NEVER shaken. The layers should always remain intact. If you shake it by mistake, let it sit on a flat surface for half an hour.

To use it, I dip a cotton bud all the way through the bottle and apply on your acne AFTER doing the entire CTM routine. This is the last thing I apply. As soon as I see a zit beginning to form, I apply it overnight and if I am in luck the zit disappears by morning. For cystic acne you have to give it 2-3 days to work.

I think this product is a keeper. Kind of a first aid kit against acne. Don’t apply it on normal skin. It will not prevent acne. It will only help heal it.

A heads up…never forget using a sunscreen in the morning after! Your skin becomes more sensitive to sun damage after using acne healing product.

Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?

Yes! I don’t think I would need to repurchase this for another few years…just buy it and use it as acne first aid!
