I am here, yet again reviewing a lipstick. There was a time when orange, corals and these vivid shades started to make it to the top. Within a few days, it became “the” trend and everyone started following it. On the same footsteps, I purchased the Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Mat 2. This is a beautiful orange shade. My experience with Maybelline Color Sensational Matte Mat 2

Packaging

It has an orange cap and a silver bottom with a twist up mechanism. The cap sits properly on the bottom making it ideal for travels.

Colour and texture

The name of the shade is MAT2 and it tells nothing about the shade. This is a dark orange shade and has a matte, powdery texture

Fragrance
smells like some talcum powder

Experience

This is personally one of my favourite shades and I purchased this in a shop after seeing how the shade looks on me. The lipstick is a bright, coral orange color that is more suited during summers and the heat kind of season since this shade will make your face appear brighter. The shade is MAT2 and they could have definitely given some better names like crushing in coral or anything. Now to the performance-  it stays for a good 4 to 6 hours. It may fade lightly after heavy meals and drinks, but usually survives. It feathers if the lips are dry and the color goes and sits in the lines of the lips. This looks bad. Also, if the lips are not exfoliated properly, it will dry out your lips even more which is a big no-no for me. It doesn’t bleed but transfers to a small extent. Also, it is very affordable and a matte, bright shade. So go ahead and try this shade. Girls with pigmented lips, dab a pinch of your favourite foundation and apply this lipstick, you are good to go. !

I will not repurchase this since I have way too many orange lipsticks but will recommend it to people who love orange shade lipsticks

Glossypolish verdict : The Maybelline colorsensational bold matte MAT2 is a must have if you love orange shades and matte lipsticks at an affordable price. Don’t expect it to stay for 8 hours though. Happy shopping.
