NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand: As I started diving into more YouTube makeup tutorials, I kept coming across the NYX Hd photogenic concealer wand. I looked it up online and discovered that it comes in highlighting shades as well as colour correcting shades. My experience with under-eye highlighting has not been as good as in most brands there is no shade variety. But I decided to give it a try anyways and opted for the shade – medium. Since NYX is a pretty popular brand, I decided to give this one a go and here are my thoughts about it!
WHAT IS IT AND WHO IS IT FOR?
This is a concealer meant for highlighting and concealing dark areas or the trouble spots. It can also be mixed with the foundation to increase the coverage.
PRICE?
INR 525
HOW TO USE?
Apply in light strokes with the wand applicator on the high points of the face like under-eye, bridge of the nose and forehead. Blend out evenly with a makeup sponge or a concealer brush.
My Experience with NYX HD Photogenic Concealer Wand
This concealer is available in 8 shades and this one was the darkest shade. However it is still too light for me. The formulation is creamy and the concealer is quite thick. It is quite easy to blend, provided that you find the right match for skin tone. The packaging is very convenient and the applicator makes it quite easy to use as well. However, since the shade range is pretty narrow, you have to be careful with the amount you use! I have not been able to use this at all because even a little amount seems ashy. I find that it is the easiest to blend with the help of a makeup sponge. Since it is easy to go a tad too much with this product, makeup sponges are ideal as they can absorb the excess product. For the one time I wore this, it did not crease for a good 5-6 hours even without setting it with a powder. However, I tested this under flash photography and it did come up looking white and distinct. This concealer has no distinct fragrance but does have a pink undertone. It did a good job brightening the under-eye area but I used very little of it.
