Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Moss Lipstick Shade No. 16, 19, 20, 22 :I have always been a lipstick lover. Rimmel London entered the Indian market a couple of years ago, till then, it were a much-coveted lipstick collection to own. These shades were mostly out of stock in parcos and online as well. Hence, the forbidden fruit was even sweeter for me when I picked up four shades once they reached Parcos. These shades are not necessarily must haves but still few of them are fantastic.
Rimmel Kate moss is a separate line of shades the actress launched with a cute signature touch on the cap, the cute pink Kate, and a heart. Most shades in the collection are fantastic honestly. The lasting finish also has a range of mattes which come in a red packaging; the matte case and color coded labels with numbers are so cute in my opinion. If you are someone who has a ton of lipsticks and stores them upside down, then picking a color will be easy with these labels. Unfortunately, these do not have names.
I own four of these, 16, 19, 20 and 22.
What is it and who is it for?
Lasting and affordable matte lipstick.
How to Use:
Apply on prepped lips for a smooth matte finish.
My Experience with Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick Shade No. 16, 19, 20, 22:
Let us take a look at number 16:
16 is a lovely light baby doll pink in a paint creamy semi-matte finish. I have to say this is a very very tricky shade to wear as this suits only a peaches and cream complexion. This shade completely washes me out and looks really odd on me being too light. My skin tone is fair to medium with pinker undertones nevertheless this coats the lips in a paint-like manner but some of the natural darker color peek through underneath the lipstick. The lipstick is moisturizing and does not bleed, the finish is slightly matte and it could cake up in two coats. It would last for about 3 hours and leaves not stain
Is probably my favorite nu*e shade I own. These are a lovely light brown with slight mauve tones but the finish is most amazing, it has a slight sheen to it, but the texture overall is creamy, it feels very very light but I have an urge to use three coats of this so it matches as a n*de shade on my skin tone. This will suit many Indian and warm skin tones and I could wear it for any casual day out. Lovely neutral shade to own, the staying power is very average.
Is a very blue-toned kind of hot pink and magenta mix color. The shade is creamy and goes very opaque in two coats. The color is loud for day wear but you could pair it with a simple eye shadow. The color has a glossy finish to it and is great for weddings to go with a pink outfit. The color lasts well but stains a little bit on me. This could bleed easily in more coats so beware. None of these lipsticks have a shimmer to them.
Is the hottest creamiest red that I own. The color has a soft creamy and opaque finish to it which I love; this one definitely needs a lip liner to go with. The color completely covers the lips in one swipe and lasts whole evening but again, being a bold color it stains a bit, the color also needs to be paired with subtle eye makeup, a winged liner goes best if you want a retro make up look.
I quite recommend this red if you are a confident red lipsticks wearer.
Overall Would I repurchase and recommend?
I do not recommend the 16 shade, but the other three shades are something we must own, for everyone needs a red, pink and a nude lipstick. The creamy opaque texture will be quite loved by all. Do try them on at your nearest Rimmel counter on the airport or the Parcos store.
Shade 16: 2/5
Shade 20 & 22: 4.5/5
