Being the beauty junkie that I am, whenever new product launches, I look them up online. And if it’s within my budget and its something I like, I go ahead and buy it. On the 1st of December, the biggest beauty shopping website, Nykaa launched Wet n Wild in India. And I was super excited about it. In the past, the only Wet n Wild product that I’ve used is a lip gloss and I pretty much liked it. So when I woke up in the morning, I had a few messages saying ‘Wet n Wild has launched on Nykaa’ and the first thing I did that morning was going onto the app and check out the products. My first thought after seeing the products was ‘Wow, so reasonable’. So I immediately selected a few eyeshadows and went ahead and bought them. And today, Wet n Wild Color Icon Glitter Single Bleached is exactly what I’m going to review.

My Experience with the Wet n Wild Color Icon Glitter Single Bleached
So, Wet n Wild is a Los Angeles based company which focuses on quality products at amazing prices. The biggest plus point about the brand is that it is cruelty free and Peta certified. Great right? What I love is that the brand has openly admitted that not all products are vegan but they are striving to make it all vegan-friendly.
Now obviously, when I ordered the products I had very high expectations. When it came in, I was super excited because the shades were exactly what they looked like in pictures. Bleached is an absolutely gorgeous shade that is hard to explain. The moment I saw it on the Nykaa website, I knew I had to get it. It’s a mix of silver and gold that looks so festive and will look fabulous for a glam event. (It’s best that you see the shade in pictures) I expected it to be like a powdered eyeshadow but it is more like a glitter pigment with a cream like base. While it does glide onto the eyelid well, I think the staying power will be better if applied over a two-way gel. The texture isn’t like that of glitter pieces, it’s extremely soft and comfortable on the skin. What I really disliked about it though is that when it’s applied directly to the skin and water is splashed, it will wash off. And that’s quite a negative. BUT, if it’s layered well, it stays on properly and needs a bit of rubbing to get it off completely.
