Once in a while, we would have definitely seen the name COVERGIRL in any popular movie or music video. And it sure does look like it’s a worthy brand. But is it really? Today, I have with me the Covergirl So Lashy! Blast Pro Mascara . Eye makeup is one of my fortes but I have always struggled to find the right mascara for me. This Covergirl mascara, in particular, attracted me because of its special wand. Covergirl is a popular American cosmetic brand mostly advertised by women who appear on the front page of magazines. It does offer beauty products at reasonable prices. Let’s dig deeper.

My Experience with Covergirl So Lashy! Blast Pro Mascara
PACKAGING
The Covergirl mascara comes in a funkily shaped tube with a cute purple lid and black bottom with a silver band in the middle bearing the name. It has a screw-in cap with the wand attached to it. I find no problem with the packaging. It just screws on perfectly and tightly.
TEXTURE AND PIGMENTATION
I would say the texture and pigmentation of this mascara are quite decent. Although, you do need two or more coats to get that bold look you need.
THE MAGIC WAND
Now, let’s talk about Covergirl’s innovative mascara wand. This is a three- in- one brush! The brush has a special, tiny, ball-shaped brush at the tip designed for the hard to reach baby lashes. They call this the ‘lash finder’. The body of the brush has separate left and right sides to allow you to take more product with just one dip.
MY EXPERIENCE
To me, the brush is both a boon and bane, mostly bane. I do love the ball-shaped brush. With the right amount of product, it does help me cover the hard to reach lashes, especially my lower lash line. It feels super easy to just swipe a few times with the ball-shaped brush and voila! My lower lashes are done. But I do have trouble getting the right amount of product on the brush. Sometimes, there is just excess product and I have to wipe it off against the sides of the tube and it does get a little messy. Same with the application, using that wand ain’t that easy! I end up getting mascara smeared on my eyelids, the corner of my eyes and it’s just terrible. Maybe, I need to practice this new kind of magic! I won’t say I’m exactly happy with this. The wand did deceive me except for the ball-shaped tip. The brush also didn’t spread the mascara evenly on to my lashes. I do have other mascaras which do a much better job. I did use the mascara with another brush and it seemed just fine and I liked it a lot better. Covergirl could have gone with a normal brush.
